ARCHITECTURAL LETTERING

Lettering - lettering, in addition to numerals, is employed on drawings to provide legible presentation

of notes, dimensions, and other information. Single stroke (lines forming the letters being the width of
one stroke of the pencil or pen) vertical line single stroke inclined letters are commonly used in
mechanical drawings. These styles of lettering may be easily accomplished, and present a simple,
balanced appearance. Vertical capitals are generally used in the title block, while vertical or inclined
capitals, or capital and lower-case letters, are used for note.
