1.0 SUBJECT

The information contained herein provides the Contractor with instructions to

perform the preparation and preliminary testings on emergency and normal
lighting system, MP light taps and relevant power supply boards after
installation..

2.0 GENERAL

2.1 Instruments used in testing

- 500 V Megger
- Multitester

2.2 Requirements and limitations to be respected

- The Contractor shall carry out all work of erection, inspection, testing,
repairing, necessary to prepare the lighting system, MP and power supply
board for commissioning.

- The preliminary tests required comply with IEC standards and with TT
specifications.

3.0 CHECKS
It's assumed that the test procedures are started with boards and systems
completely installed, assembled and connected in the absence of any kind of
supply.

3.1 Preliminary checks

- Disconnect all power cables and carry out insulation test, testing and phase
identification.
- Disconnect the control cables, if present, and connect them temporarily to
temporary terminal boards.
- Check the correct utilization of the installation accessories (boxes, cable
glands, etc.).
- Perform cleaning of the distribution boards, ceiling light, sockets, etc.
- Verify the correct distribution of the connections on the phases.

 - Check the correct connection of neutral and grounding.
- Check pipings , gangways and/or visible supports for the power cables.
- Check the marking of the light circuits, light sockets and M.P.
- Verify the installation state of protection.
- Chek the boxes inside connections.
- Check the insulation of the light elements, sockets and the panels.
- Check the power transformer, if any. for the lighting system.

4.0 FINAL SETUP

The panel and the lighting circuits will be consigned for the commissioning
operations in the following conditions:
- All power cables, side board, disconnected and tested.
- The control cables, connected to the temporary terminal boards and tested.
- The mechanical operations of the switches tested.
- The grounding connections tested and tightened..
- The panel and the individual components cleaned.
- The room in which the system is installed clean and free from foreign
materials.
- The cable channels, cleaned and closed.

5.0 ANNEXES

The annexe to prove by documents the preparing and performing of the tests is
the following:
