Monologue

Introduction.

A monologue is a soliloquy: an address that an individual performs alone. In a

monologue, the person does not dialogue with another, but expresses himself
individually, expressing his thoughts or emotions without waiting for an answer.

Developing

Insecurity constitutes one of the great problems of Mexico. It manifests itself in two
ways: the insecurity that the population is experiencing, affected by the increase in
crime, and the rise of drug trafficking, which is explained by the incorporation of
Mexico into the cocaine route from Colombia to the United States. This is
manifested daily in a growing violence, concentrated in clashes between criminal
organizations and between them and the security forces. The article argues that,
although Mexico cannot be referred to as a "failed state," the security, intelligence
and justice structures are overwhelmed and corrupted, and it is necessary to
promptly address their reform if the problem is to be addressed.

The crime incidence has increased progressively since 2007; mainly the crimes of
a transient, kidnapping and homicide (the latter because of the war on drug
trafficking). Low rates of apprehension and imprisonment contribute to the problem.
Many causes have generated crime, the most important are drug trafficking, arms
trafficking, assaults, unemployment, economic polarization and the weakness of
public security and justice institutions, highlighting the collusion between organized
crime and the authorities at different governmental scales (such as the cases of
Michoacán). It should also be taken into consideration, that every time those who
commit crime in Mexico, are young, who have no formal occupation and who
neglected their education, since the economic needs were stronger. Another
important cause of crime in young people is addiction to some drugs, which is why
young people are able to exercise this crime in order to obtain resources to
continue maintaining their addiction. It is also striking to realize that one of the
causes for which young people exercise crime is because of the environment in
which they find themselves: social inequalities, non-functional families,
discrimination, racism, as well as the use of video games that incite to the young
man to influence the crime.

In comparative terms, internationally, criminal rates in Mexico are high. Crime can
be divided into several ISSUES, the most common being theft or assault on the
passerby, followed by home-room or business theft. Other types are extortion,
human trafficking, drug trafficking, money laundering, child pornography and
kidnapping, which fall into the category of organized crime.
Ciudad Juárez (2012) ranks second in the most violent cities in the world.

According to reports published in early 2011, 13 of the 50 most dangerous cities in

the world are in Mexico, the following being:

Mexico City, Matamoros, Tampico, Altamirano, Chihuahua, Culiacán, Mazatlan,

Ciudad Juarez, Tepic.

Conclusión.

After reading different sources of information and perceived that the monologue is
a discourse that generates a single person, directed towards a single receiver as
well as several receivers (readers, audience, a thing, a character or a narrator) .
The monologue is a resource used in all literary genres that can be found both in
poetry, storytelling, journalism, magazines, calendars, scripts, discussion, theater,
and in novels among others.
