Oliver’s and Jerusalyn’s Research

Project
By: Oliver Snow and Jerusalyn Dodge
Introduction
One time I went to the dump
with my sister. A lady dropped
a recyclable water bottle but
her hands were full so she
was unable to pick it up. I
picked it up and gave it back
to her. It relates to our project
because litter pollutes the
earth just like how cars do.
Research Question

Our project is to see how many people would use/ride a bike

to school if we got a bike rack or how many kids would ride
the bus if we got one.
Climate Change Connection

If kids ride their bike to school we don't have to have many

cars driving so we don't pollute the air. With less polluting the
air it will be better for our systems. We could also use a bus
so we don't have many cars driving.

Research 1. First we found our
Methods question
2. Made a survey with some
important questions (All
relating back to our
research question)
3. Had kids answer them.
Most We found that riding bikes to
Important school is good for our
Finding environment because it would
reduce car usage which would
also reduce car exhaust.
(Another way to reduce car
exhaust would be to carpool.)
Discoveries that matter to our school
The first discoveries that we made is that some kids ride their bike to and from
school we also noticed that the bikes don’t really have a place to go. So we
thought why not get a bike rack. We also noticed that we take about 45 cars
(maybe less or more) so we thought it would be better to take a bus then 45 car
(maybe less or more).
