Jofer: As we are about to begin, please watch our live stream in our official Facebook page. Just a few
reminders, we would like to seek your cooperation in completing this seminar. Kindly focus your

be a raffle on this event.

Manel: May we request everyone to feel the presence of the Lord for our opening prayer. Afterwards,
this will be followed by the National Anthem.

Jofer & Manel (Intro): Good Afternoon to all ECE students, faculty and staff. The long wait is over. Are
you ready guys? Let us welcome this years’ first anticipated event. This is, the Virtual Orientation 2020
with the theme: “Future Electronics Engineers: Ready to Face the World of Work towards Innovation
and Success.”

I am John Fernand Racelis, and I am Marinela Cademia. Your masters of ceremony for this year’s virtual
orientation.

So ano nga bang expectations mo ngayon partner dito sa ating career orientation?

Manel:

Jofer: To formally start this program, may we call on our Adviser of the IECEP-SLSU, Engr. Maurine
Panergo, for her opening remarks. Please give her a round of applause.

Manel: Thank you for that wonderful remarks. Let us now move on to the presentation of the AVP about
ECE Department which is prepared by our IECEP-SLSU SC.

Jofer: Of course, we also would like to acknowledge the presence of our ECE Faculty who are here today
for our Virtual Career Orientation. Let us give them a round of applause for giving such effort to attend
this event amidst the pandemic.

Manel: Without further ado, let us welcome the members of the ECE Faculty as well as their short
message for the ECE Department:

Manel: Siyempre di daw papatalo ang mga Third Year ngayong taon, nasaan na ang mga third years?

Jofer: So much for the roll call, mukhang buhay na buhay naman ang mga ECE ngayong araw. Before
tayo magproceed for the first speaker let us have the intermission number from our First Year Students.
This will be followed by our Load Raffle later on as we go on with this event. Thank you for having the
intermission number.

Let us introduce the first speaker for this event.

- Graduated of Special Science Section at Luis Palad Integrated High School at Tayabas City, Quezon in
year 2005

- Graduate in Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering Degree at Southern Luzon State University
Lucban Campus in year 2010

- Finish Master of Science in Applied Meteorology and Climate with Management at University of
Reading in year 2018

-Former Instructor of SLSU Lucban main campus from year 2011 to 2013

-Former Hydrologist Trainee at Dost-PAGASA from year 2013 to 2014

-And serving the our country as a weather specialist/weather forecaster at Philippines Atmospheric,
Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration from year 2014 until now (6 years serving our
country and counting)
