What is organizational assessment?

contribute to the decision making process of the
RESOURCES organization. It gives the opportunity to analyze the
strengths and weaknesses to make changes in the
company that will benefit them in the long run.
These improvements will result to better use of
resource, motivated employees, adaptable, higher
profits, and increased in productivity.

The Starbucks company will be utilizing the Shingo Assessment mode by following the principles of
leading with humility as well as respecting individuals, regardless of race, sex, age, disabilities, etc. By
providing strong coaching, trainings, and communication throughout the year, the company is able to
develop and create experiences with people. Partners are able to assure a safe environment by taking
what they learned from on-the-job training and creating a warm welcoming culture.
The motivation to seek perfection and provide quality service will make sure that the company finds
opportunities for improvements. With customer surveys in store and through the mobile app, Starbucks
is able to recognize the strengths and weaknesses that individual store has.
Creating a purpose with a mission statement, goals, and values, the organization is able to focus on
long successful years ahead. We are able to align systems and strategies that will allow us to get through
challenging times.
Producing a strong value for the customers will allow the partners to understand the importance of
culture and will put an emphasis on the company's mission. Employee meetings play an important role
for effective communication and will ensure that the performance will drive the right behaviors.
