3rd Class International Taekwondo Master Training Program

Ⅰ. Background

1. Changes in the global education environment and the increasing demand on

Kukkiwon Masters Course has lead to the opening of a new educational program
using an online E-learning system.

2. To provide better quality and easy to access education, it is necessary to implement

online E-learning system which provides standardized learning contents.

Ⅱ. Purpose

1. The cultivation for the Kukkiwon Taekwondo Master who can instruct standard
Taekwondo fundamentals and techniques.

Ⅲ. Course Outline

1. Theory Lesson (Online)

1) Qualification : Kukkiwon 3rd Dan.

2) Period : 3 months
3) Contents : 18 hours of Theory Lesson (Curriculum is provided below)
4) Time/Place : Anytime/Anywhere with your PC and Smart Devices.
5) How to Apply : Apply from WTA webpage. (http://wta.kukkiwon.or.kr/en)
6) Payment Method : Only Credit Card is available. Other payment is currently preparing.
7) Further Information
· Participants must apply Online Test in 3 months after you complete Theory Lesson(Online).
· Online Test will take place every Month, and you must apply through Online Notice.
 2. Practical Seminar

1) Qualification : Kukkiwon 3rd Dan / Must Complete both Theory Lesson and the Test.
2) Period : 3 days
3) Contents : 24 hours of Practical Education (Curriculum is provided below)
4) Time/Place : 2 times a year per continents. Further information will be announced
5) How to Apply : Apply from WTA webpage. (http://wta.kukkiwon.or.kr/en)
6) Payment Method : Only Credit Card is available. Other payment is currently preparing.
7) Further Information
· Participants must apply for Practical Seminar held by Kukkiwon in 2 years after
completing online education(Theory).
· 3rd Dan Participants who have passed both Online and Practical Seminar are required to
apply for the Certificate after you promote to 4th Dan. (Mailing fee will be charged)

Ⅴ. Curriculum

1. Theory Lesson (Online)

1) Taekwondo Ceremony
· Taekwondo as a martial ART, understand the importance and meaning of
ceremony and etiquette by raising the ability to implement this at the scene, help
grow a proper Taekwondo Master with a correct Taekwondo mindset.

2) Taekwondo History
· The objective is to understand the history of Taekwondo and build basic
knowledge. Furthermore, explain how Taekwondo came to be and developed
through the years to motivate training of Taekwondo

3) Taekwondo Education
· Taekwondo Education aims to raise the ability to teach the theory and practical
technique of Taekwondo more efficiently by re-educating to suit the training target.
Thus, through this process raise the ability and potential to develop into a capable
Taekwondo Master.

4) Taekwondo Kinematics
· The aim is to define the techniques and environment dynamic principles and apply
this to enhance performance, prevent injuries and teach scientifically.
 5) Taekwondo Growth and Development
· The aim is to provide effective training depending on the trainee’s body development
and definite understanding of the condition of the trainee.

6) Taekwondo Terms and Basic Movement

· The aim is to raise the leadership capability and potential of future competent
Taekwondo Masters through re-emphasizing the technical terms, theory and
physical techniques to suit the trainees.

7) Taekwondo Examination Theory

· Taekwondo trainees confrim their training result through examination and the aim is
to understand the importance of examination by going through the theoretical
background and institution of examinations.
