1. Has a passage plan for the intended voyage been prepared
according to Bridge Checklist #7? 
2. Are charts and other nautical publications for the intended
voyage corrected, up-to-date and course laid off? 
3. Has the following equipment been checked and found
ready for use? 
 Anchors, including clearing away 
 Ancillary bridge equipment (e.g. binoculars) 
 Astronomical navigation equipment and publications 
 Bell book where carried 
 Deck power 
 Echo sounder 
 Electronic navigational position fixing aids 
 Gyro compass and repeaters 
 Magnetic compass and repeaters 
 Pilot embarkation/disembarkation arrangements (see Annex
5) 
 Radar 
4. Has the following equipment been tested and found ready
for use? 
 Bridge and Engine Room telegraphs, including revolution
indicators 
 Communications facilities -internal, external and portable 
 Navigation light/shapes, incl. emergency navigation lights
and lights/shapes for "not under command" and at anchor 
 Ship's whistle 
 Signaling lamps 

 Steering gear, incl. manual, autopilot and emergency


change-over arrangements and rudder indicators (see 
Annex 3)
 Window wipers/clearview screens 
5. Has the ship’s clocks been synchronized? 
6. Is the crew at stations for leaving harbour? 
