Please. Please, Please! Read all directions before cutting fabric. When you see the word “Template” we
are referring to the position of each piece as shown in the Block Diagram on page 2. All pieces for this
quilt are rotary cut. Fabric color names are indicated in color through-out the sewing directions to help
you locate the correct fabric more quickly. WOF= Width of Fabric. QTC = Quilt Top Center

the quilt together and quilt as desired. Trim the backing and batting even with the quilt top.
HINT: My quilt was done with several different motifs. Several different shades of 100% cotton
quilting thread were used throughout. So-Fine by Superior Threads gives a beautiful look without
being too “thready” in appearance.
2. Binding:
Using the 2 ½” x 42” binding strips cut from the Berry Pink tonal (Tangled 1316-11) floral fabric; sew
the short ends together, into one long continuous strip. Fold the strips in half lengthwise with the
wrong sides together. Pin the raw edges of the quilt even with the raw edges of the binding. Sew the
binding to the top with a scant ¼’ seam by machine, joining the beginnings and ends of the binding
carefully. Turn the binding to the back and hand stitch using a matching thread with a small, nearly
invisible stitch.
