What are Info-graphics?

An infographic is a collection of imagery, charts, and minimal text that gives an easy-to-understand
overview of a topic.

What are the uses of info-graphics in architectural research?

It is used to visualize architecture. Infographics are intended to show complicated information quickly

and clearly in a graphic visual representation way. Just like flash cards for kids, infographics make it
much easier to digest, understand and remember information, whether we're talking multiplication
tables or architectural styles

Explain different Types of info-graphics.

The three parts of all infographics are the visual, the content, and the knowledge. The visual
consists of colors and graphics.

1. Statistical infographics

Statistical infographics data pr focus krta hai, uska layout and

visuals data ki story ko behtr explain krtay. Storytelling devices meh
charts, icons, images and eye-catching fonts atay hai.

2. Informational infographics

Yeh koi new ya specialized concept ya kisi topic ka overview

communicate karanay meh use hota. Yeh sections meh divided
hotay jismeh descriptive headers, and numbering of each section
include hotay

3. Timeline infographics

Yeh historical data ko visualize krnay meh use hotay jaisay k

important dates highlight krna ya kisi event ka overview dena.
4. Process infographics

Yeh ek summary provide krta hai ya kisi bhi data ka overview in

steps

5. Geographic infographics

Ismeh map charts ko visual focus rkha jata hai, different map charts
use hotay hai to explain different types of data .

6. Comparison infographics

Comparison infographics ek unbiased way meh options ko compare

krnay meh visualize krtay hai, typically centre se vertically ya
horizontally split down hotay hai and each side pr options show krtay.

7. Hierarchical infographics

Yeh greatest to least meh ek heirchial organization visualize krta. Eg

pyramid hierarchy.

8. List infographics

Yeh straightforward hoti, maqsad ek simple si ey catching list ko

banana hota. Icons ya bulet points ya colors use hotay jo data ko
stand out kratay.

9. Resume infographics

they’re a great visual document to bring to an interview, to publish on

your portfolio site, or to include in an email application.

What is rule of third?

The rule of thirds states that a surface should be imagined as divided into nine equal parts
by two equally-spaced horizontal lines and two equally-spaced vertical lines, and that
important composition elements should be placed along these lines or their intersections.
The idea is that by placing and arranging elements with the rule of thirds in mind will create a
more interesting design and that a user’s eye will flow through the intersections of the grid thus
creating a design that has more energy and tension.

What is visual Hierarchy?

Visual hierarchy is the principle of arranging elements to show their order of importance

 Size – Users notice larger elements more easily.

 Color – Bright colors typically attract more attention than muted ones.
 Contrast – Dramatically contrasted colors are more eye-catching.
 Alignment – Out-of-alignment elements stand out over aligned ones.
 Repetition – Repeating styles can suggest content is related.
 Proximity – Closely placed elements seem related.
 Whitespace – More space around elements draws the eye towards them.
 Texture and Style – Richer textures stand out over flat ones.

Why Visual Hierarchy is important in Architectural Presentations?

Visual hierarchy refers to the arrangement or presentation of elements in a way that implies

importance. In other words, visual hierarchy influences the order in which the human eye perceives what
it sees. It guides a person through the content presented. It signals to them which content is the most
important, how that content is organized into related sections or categories, and which content they
should focus on first. This order is created by the visual contrast between forms in a field of perception

What is the difference between warm and cool colors?

Warm colors, including hues such as red, yellow, and orange, are energetic colors associated with fire.
Warm colors are sometimes referred to as “advancing” colors as they draw the eye forward. By contrast,
cool colors (such as blue, green, and violet) are also known as “retreating” colors because they seem to
withdraw. Artists manipulate combinations of warm and cool colors to make visually engaging images

Which mode we use for printing purpose?

A printing machine creates images by combining CMYK colors to varying degrees with

physical ink. This is known as subtractive mixing. All colors start as blank white, and each layer
of ink reduces the initial brightness to create the preferred color. When all colors are mixed
together, they create pure black.

What is the difference between RGB and CMYK modes?

If printers are using a digital printing method, they would print color on paper using CMYK colors. This is a
four color mode that utilizes the colors cyan, magenta, yellow and black in various amounts to create all of
the necessary colors when printing images. It is a subtractive process, which means that each additional
unique color means more light is removed, or absorbed, to create colors. When the first three colors are added
together, the result is not pure black, but rather a very dark brown. The K color, or black, is used to
completely remove light from the printed picture, which is why the eye perceives the color as black.[1]

RGB Color Mode

RGB is the color scheme that is associated with electronic displays, such as CRT, LCD monitors, digital
cameras and scanners. It is an additive type of color mode that combines the primary colors, red, green and
blue, in various degrees to create a variety of different colors. When all three of the colors are combined and
displayed to their full extent, the result is a pure white. When all three colors are combined to the lowest
degree, or value, the result is black. Software such as photo editing programs use the RGB color mode
because it offers the widest range of colors.[1]

The RGB scheme has a greater range of colors than CMYK and can produce colors that are more vivid and
vibrant. These colors are beyond the range of CMYK to reproduce and will come out darker and more dull in
print than what is seen on the monitor or display. Because the RGB color mode has the full range of colors,
documents shown in CMYK mode will always show up precisely on-screen. RGB colors, however, will not
necessarily appear in print as they do on-screen. To accurately print the document or image, it must be
converted from its original RGB format to CMYK.
