Mechanics of the Contest

1. Only YMC members (Junior and Senior HS) who are approved by the Animator and Brother-
in-charge are allowed to join the YMC “Awit Kay Maria 2020”

3. A YMC Local Chapter joining the Contest must form a group with 5 members only.

4. Only ONE MARIAN SONG is to be used for the presentation.

5. Participants must choose the song only from the list provided below.

1. Inay 4. Mahal Kita Maria

2. Stella Maris 5. Mariang Ina Ko
3. Awit ng Ina ng Santo Rosaryo

7. The school chapter is to submit their recorded song presentation through email
(ymcluzon@yahoo.com) on or October 2, 2020.

8. The Videos will be uploaded on October 5, 2020 at Youth for Mary and Christ – Luzon
Chapter Facebook page as part of the judging.

9. Decision of the panel of judges is final. The panel of judges will be from different houses of
the Marian Missionaries of the Holy Cross.

10. Criteria for judging are as follows:

Voice Quality 50%
Tone Quality, Breath Support, Intonation, Diction and Articulation

Expression 20%
How well the performer is able to express the
meaning and mood of the song.

Audience Impact 30%

This will be based on the number of shares and reactions.

TOTAL 100%

11. The winners will be announced on October 7, 2020 during the live streamed activity of the
Youth for Mary and Christ – Luzon Chapter Facebook page.

13. Awards to be given are:

Champion, 1st runner-up, 2nd runner-up, Most shares & Most Reacts
