FROM THE DESK OF FATHER HAGE
I have been continually encouraged by our meetings as a
family of parishes. The recent All-PCA Pastoral Council
meeting as well as the first of the Adult Faith Formation
Series on the Pastoral Conversion of the Church have
shown signs of real hope for the future. What became clear
from these meetings is the necessity of prayer in all of
this. Without prayer, our efforts will come to nothing. I
would ask you all to join me in prayer in an intentional way
in the coming weeks. Please find below the prayer that our
Pastoral Councils have been praying together at our
meetings. I think it would be a wonderful prayer we could
pray daily as a family of parishes that God will continue to
bless this process with a spirit of unity and peace.
Eternal Father, we ask you,
through your Son Jesus Christ,
and the intercession of Mary Immaculate,
Star of the New Evangelization,
to pour forth your Holy Spirit upon the people
of St. Joan’s, St. Joseph’s, St. Bernard’s, and St. Mary’s.
Through the gift of the Holy Spirit,
renew and transform us,
and make fruitful the work of evangelization.
Root us deeply in the heart of your Son
so that we may radiate him more fully,
sharing with others the Good News of
salvation in Christ, who alone
is the fulfillment of all human desiring.
Transform our parishes. Make of them
shining lights, beacons of hope
that reach those who are far from you,
drawing them back to your fold.
Consecrate us in your truth
and accomplish your plans in us
according to your holy will.
Amen.

Daily Mass Update
Mass on Columbus Day will take place at 9AM at St.
Bernard’s instead of 8AM, as is typical on all civic
holidays. We will also pray the Rosary immediately
following 9AM Mass. All offices in the PCA will be closed
on Columbus Day as well.

news on upcoming events in the four parishes in our
PCA. The 11am Sunday morning Mass will be livestreamed
for the whole PCA on this platform as well. Please like

The Church is Open!
St. Mary’s and St. Bernard’s churches will be open every
day from 8AM until 8PM, Monday through Friday for
private prayer and devotion. St. Joan of Arc also has a 24/7
Adoration Chapel. Feel free to stop by anytime to make a
visit to the Lord in the Blessed Sacrament!
Care Packages
We would like to show all of our young adults who are
away at college or in the service that we are thinking of them
and praying for them. If you know of someone that we should
send a package to please email their address to Deacon Paul
at DCPaulLehmann@gmail.com or give him the address at
Mass. We are hoping to mail these packages by October
16. If you would like to help support this program
financially, there will be envelopes available on October 10.
PCA “BVM Club”
This week’s BVM Club will meet this Saturday, October
10 at 7:00AM at St. Bernard’s in Waterville. The public
recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be made available
to each campus on a monthly basis. The recitation of the
Rosary will take place every Saturday on a rotating basis:
1st Saturday will be at St. Joan’s; 2nd Saturday will be at
St. Bernard’s; 3rd Saturday will be at St. Mary’s; 4th
Saturday will be at St. Joseph’s.

PCA-wide Adult Faith Formation Series!
Father Hage is leading a study on the most recently
published document from the Congregation for the Clergy
titled, “The pastoral conversion of the Parish community in
the service of the evangelizing mission of the Church.” This
four-week study will take place during the month of
October every Wednesday at 7:00pm in St. Bernard’s
Church. Everyone will be seated safely six feet apart and
with masks on. The series will also be live-streamed for
those who would like to participate from
home (https://www.facebook.com/Route20Catholic). This
will be a great opportunity for our four parishes to come
together and begin to dream out loud about what we can
build together as a PCA! You can find the document

PCA-wide Email List:
If you would like to be included on future PCA-wide
communication, please contact your parish office and ask
them to add you to the list. Future PCA-wide
communications will include the weekly pre-registration
link for weekend Masses as well as the weekly parish
bulletin. Father Hage will also use this PCA-wide email list
for important notifications for the four parishes in the PCA.
PCA Update on Weekly Confessions
Father Hage will be hearing confessions this Tuesday,
October 13 from 5:30pm until 6:30pm at St. Bernard in
Waterville. Confessions will be made available to each
campus on a monthly basis. The opportunity to celebrate the
Sacrament of Reconciliation will take place every Tuesday
from 5:30pm until 6:30pm on a rotating basis: 1st Tuesday
will be at St. Joan’s; 2nd Tuesday will be at St. Bernard’s;
3rd Tuesday will be at St. Mary’s; 4th Tuesday will be at St.
Joseph’s. Now all four campuses will have equal
opportunity to celebrate this great sacrament of mercy.
PCA Update on Holy Hours
This week’s PCA Holy Hour will take place at St.
Bernard’s in Waterville at 5:30pm on Tuesday, October 13.
These PCA Holy Hours will involve Exposition of the
Blessed Sacrament, Evening Prayer, the opportunity to
celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and Solemn
Benediction will be made available to each campus on a
monthly basis. These Holy Hours will take place every
Tuesday at 5:30pm on a rotating basis: 1st Tuesday will be
at St. Joan’s; 2nd Tuesday will be at St. Bernard’s; 3rd
Tuesday will be at St. Mary’s; 4th Tuesday will be at St.
Joseph’s.
Faith Formation Registration
Families with children in the Faith Formation program,
grades Pre K through High School, are asked to Register for
Faith Formation classes using the following link.

Although classes will differ this year from previous years,
the diocese needs statistical information for our programs.
Information on classes will be forthcoming. Thank you for
your patience. Registration fees for this year will be
waived.
CROP Walk Service Project
Mark your calendars for Sunday, October 18th! The annual
CROP Walk to help stomp out hunger will be held virtually
this year. That means you can walk with your family, walk by
yourself, or walk social distancing with friends or
neighbors. You pick how you want to participate in the service
project. For additional information,, as well as a pledge

November 2 is All Soul’s Day
All parishioners in our PCA and their loved ones who have
died during the past year will be prayed for in a special way on
All Souls Day this year. If you have lost a loved one in the past
year and you would like them to be remembered on All Souls

Clarification about PCA Masses, Parish Membership,
and Envelopes:
All parishioners in our PCA are welcome to attend any one of
the Masses throughout the PCA on any campus throughout the
weekend. All four campuses now belong to one faith
community, so all four campuses are at your disposal for their
Masses and any other parish offerings as well. There will be a
pre-registration link made available to all four parishes every
Monday, so you can click the Mass time you would like to
attend on any campus and reserve a spot. If you are attending
Mass on another campus, there is no need to change parish
membership. You can simply bring your home parish’s
envelope to the Mass of your choice, drop your envelope in the
collection basket, and your envelope will make its way back to
your home parish. Also, if you do not have internet, you can
pre-register for Masses by calling any one of the parish offices,
and the secretaries from each parish will fill in the online
registration form on your behalf. Please pre-register for
Masses before 1pm on Thursday of each week.

World Mission Sunday is Next Week!
Next week is World Mission Sunday. We are called
through our Baptism to be part of the Church’s missionary
efforts, through prayer, self-sacrifice, and support of the
Mission Church through material aid. This year, Pope
Francis asks us to respond to that call, saying, “Here I Am,
Send Me!” To “send” ourselves, we can: PRAY for the
Church’s worldwide missionary work, OFFER financial
HELP and CHARITY through the collection for the Society
for the Propagation of the Faith for vulnerable communities
throughout Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Pacific
Islands.
Confirmation 2020
The Confirmation students from our PCA will receive the
Sacrament of Confirmation from Bishop Cunningham on
Thursday, October 15 at 7pm at St. Bernard’s in Waterville.
