History of the School
1925 -University of Pangasinan started operations as Dagupan Institute. It initially
offered elementary, secondary and vocational courses.
1941 - Dagupan Institute was renamed as Dagupan Junior Colleges. It started offering
Bachelor’s Degree in Education.
1950 - Dagupan Junior College was renamed as Dagupan Colleges.
1968 - The Philippine Regulatory Commission rated University of Pangasinan as the 4 th
Best Performing School in Midwifery.
2000 - The Philippine Regulatory Commission rated University of Pangasinan as the 5 th
Best Performing School in Architecture.
2009 - University of Pangasinan was acquired by PHINMA. The school is now known
as PHINMA- University of Pangasinan.
