UNIT 1: EGYPTIAN AND MESOPOTAMIAN ART
1. TEACHING OBJECTIVES
2. CONTENTS
Identify and classify textures and tones from different angles and
positions, especially the different elements of artistic language: point,
line, form, colour, volume... relating them to the image in movement.
Putting the frames of a story into sequential order.
Using software to edit and process images, video and text.
Use of three-dimensional modelling and paper construction techniques.
Creation of a simple project in three dimensions.
Curiosity in handing materials and learning to apply techniques.
Appreciation and care of instruments used in technical drawing.
3. LINGUISTIC CONTENTS
3.1. VOCABULARY
1. Identify the main differences between fixed and moving images and classify them
according to previously learnt patterns.
LS1.1. Recognises fixed and moving images in his or her own environment and
knows how to classify them.
2. Read, analyse and interpret art and fixed and moving images in their cultural and
historical contexts, understanding their meaning and social function in a critical
way. Be able to produce new images from knowledge acquired.
LS2.1. Analyses fixed images according to their size, format, layout, basic
elements (dots, straight lines, planes, colours, light, function...) in a simple way
using suitable terminology.
3. Use ICT in a responsible way to search, create and transmit fixed and moving
images.
LS1.1. Uses dots, lines and planes to represent immediate and imaginary
environments.
2. Represent ideas, actions and situations in a personal way with the help of elements
that make up the visual language.
