This study aims:
1. to determine if the effects of digital communication has an effects on the traditional
classroom lectures.

2. to identify its systematic approach to digital technology and its impact to the learners'
learning.

3. to issue and understand the generation gap in teaching students through the
integration of digital devices and methods.

Rationale:
The vast majority of language teachers use images in their classroom. In today’s
increasingly visual world, it is difficult to imagine the language classroom
without coursebook images, photographs, paintings, cartoons, picture books,
comics, flashcards, wallcharts, YouTube videos, films, student-created artwork and
media, and so on. However, despite the ubiquity of images in language
teaching, we are going to incorporate the use of memes as one of the tools in
acquiring language, if it is helpful or not since students nowadays are more engaged in
the digital world. Taking into consideration that memes unique definition into viewpoint.
Since memes epitomize life span, fecundity, and copying-fidelity characteristics, hence
it will be simpler to be connected to a classroom that is completely stacked by Digital
Natives. Most critically, the students concurred that social media has generally
influenced their life. By the means of that, the researchers would like to create a modern
methodology to improve the students’ acquisition in language through the utilize of
memes more interactively.

The purpose of this study is to find out if memes can be used as a learning resource in
enhancing the language acquisition of the students. Finding its best potential for
teaching and having a sense of enjoyment while learning since students nowadays are
more engaged in technology. The researchers aim to know the effectiveness of using
memes in teaching english language to the students.

1. to determine its opportunities for providing


pedagogically sound activities for developing speaking as well as listening fluency.

2. to identify the impact to the new language learning and teaching approaches by
incorporating multimedia platforms.

3. to possess and evaluate the potentials of available multimedia tools used in


developing listening and speaking skills

Rationale:
Educational institutions must recognize that the world has changed. Educators and
students have needs that our current delivery system is not meeting. We face
challenges that will not quickly disappear, as well as global competition. To survive
these challenges, we must find new ways to deliver education to our students.
Determining the opportunity and potential of multimedia as tool in improving speaking
and listening fluency can contribute in solving some of these problems.Multimedia
facilitates mastering basic skills of a student by means of drill and practice. It can be a
bridge in enhancing speaking and listening skills by means of learning by doing.

Vaughan (2011) defined multimedia as a combination of digitally manipulated text,


photographs, graphic art, sound, animation, and video elements. In this context,
multimedia can be thought of as a combination of text, graphics, sound, animation and
video delivered by some form of computer. When the user has some control of what is
presented it becomes interactive multimedia. The purpose of this study is to determine
the potential and opportunities of multimedia as a tool in improving speaking and
listening skills of the students while learning.
Traditional vs. New Normal Online Classroom Set-Up: A Comparative Study of
Learning English Language

Objectives:
1. to determine which method proved to be more effective when it comes to availability
of resources in learning english language

2. To compare the academic performance of the students when if comes to traditional


and online learning

3. To distinguish the learning method that provides more feasible outcomes in learning
english language

Rationale:
In the Philippines, there are two ways of learning; the traditional and Online Learning.
Traditional learning takes place in a classroom setting. There is a teacher who moderates and
regulates the flow of information and knowledge. Then, the teacher expects the students to
deepen their knowledge through written exercises at home. Nowadays, technology is
incorporated in the classroom more and more. However, in face-to-face instruction scenarios,
the primary source of information is still the teacher. On the other hand, Online learning is a
form of distance learning that takes place over the internet. It is interchangeable with the term e-
learning, which is accessible anywhere and anytime. Ever since the Covid-19 Pandemic arise,
the traditional way of learning changed,and as a result the online learning set-up takes place
which is called New Normal.

The purpose of this study is to determine which  method proved to be more effective when it
comes to the availability of resources in learning english language. The researchers are
exposed in this kind of set up, and because of that it is important to know and gather data to find
out which learning set up is more reliable and effective in learning English language. This study
examines and compare the academic performance of the students when it comes to traditional
and online learning. And lastly, this study could provide information about the learning method
that gives feasible outcomes in learning english language.
