JUAN FELIPE AVILA DALLOS

Brief review
Guitarist and conductor of the National University of Colombia (2006).

He studied the instrument at the University of Chile for 2 years and later was a beneficiary of the DAAD-
Colfuturo program in Colombia to pursue his postgraduate studies at the Akademie für Tonkunst in
Darmstadt, Germany. His guitar teachers have been Sonia Díaz (Cuba), Luis Orlandini (Chile) and Tilman
Hoppstock (Germany). He is also a Master in Music Research at the International University of La Rioja,
Spain, and a Junior Researcher in the Administrative Department of Science, Technology and Innovation
of Colombia, COLCIENCIAS.

He has given recitals in important auditoriums and concert halls in Colombia, as well as in Argentina,
Chile, Mexico, the United States and Germany. He also has several publications of his work as a
composer, orchestrator and arranger for different formats of chamber and symphonic music with Punto
Musical Editores.

He was a professor at the National University of Colombia and is currently a professor of classical guitar
and music researcher at the University of Cundinamarca in Colombia.
