إِ َش َار ٍة in Arabic Grammar. Tilka is used to refer to objects that are further
away in the same way as Hādhihī is used to refer to closer objects

In this part of Lesson No. 7 we will learn another pronoun َ ِتل (which means “that”)

– Tilka is used for the feminine nouns. Tilka follows the same principles as followed
by Dhālika and is used to refer to objects that are further away whereas hādhihi
The demonstrative pronouns are called َس َماءُ ا ِإل َش َار ِة
ْ أ in Arabic language and have
two types:
o The pronouns which refer to the near objects like َهٰـ َذا and َهٰـ ِذ ِه meaning
(this for masculine and feminine respectively) are called ش ارة
ِ َ أَس ماء ا ِإل
َ ُ َْ
الْ َق ِريبَ ِة and
o The pronouns which refer to the distant objects like كَ ِذَل and ْك َ تِل meaning
(that for masculine and feminine respectively) are called ش ارة

That is an egg
ٌضة َ تِل.

That is a hen.
