1. Method Statement
General: Comments reviewed by:

(1) Request for attaching some documents or


test supports for the execution of the
defective measures, whether the procedure
comply with the standard practice of codes
or not?
(2) This is the most critical part of the pile
where the failure occurred by the both
confined or unconfined concrete. Maximum
deflection and bending occurred at that
stretch. In that case standard practice for
avoiding lapping of rebar
(3) Request for supporting the documents how
you have considered the time dependent
impact of the old concrete and the
proposed concrete.
(4) In your method statement it is revealed that
you will make the connections of the old
rebar and new rebar manually.
(5) The bottom of the sheet pile shown at the
lapping location. In that case request for
demonstrating the safety measures for the
workers for making the connections of the
old and new rebar.
(6) Retrofitting with permanent steel casing
will be a solution for the defective measures
in order to decrease the force demand
capacity ratio.

• The comments provided in this review shall not relieve the Contractor of any of its obligations to
meet all the requirements of the Contract or relieve the Contractor of the responsibility for the
correctness of his drawings/documents. The Contractor shall make any changes that are necessary to
make the work confirm to the provisions and intent of the Contract.
