Making negative statement of don’t and doesn’t and Questions with do

To make a sentence negative in the present tense, you need the


helping verb do or does. We use do for plural subject and does for
singular subject. These constructions are common in informal
writing and speech:

Do + not = don’t does + not = doesn’t

Rewrite each sentence below and make it negative.

To make a simple yes/no question with other main verbs in the
present tense, you need to add a helping verb, do or does. The
helping verb goes before the subject.

Notice: the main verb in a question has no –s or –es ending.
