Lesson Objectives Knowledge:


Students should be able to explain two strengths
(language use and message/moral) of their
favorite English song

Skill:
Students should be able to select another song
(their peer’s favorite) that has similar strenghs as
their own favorite song and compare the two

TBA Stages Time allotment


BKof 1. Teacher asks students what
kind of song they like and
what’s the title of their favorite
song

2. Give some printed lyrics of


popular songs to the students
and sing the song together then
asks them what the songs’
about.

3. Choose one song and then


ask students to work in pair to
discuss how many tenses are
there in the lyric and which one.
MoT 1. Teacher divide students into
some group and asks each
group to choose one of the rest
of the song lyrics

2. Teacher asks some group to


discuss about the language use
and the message of the lyrics.
After they have done the
discussion, each group should
choose one representative to
read the findings in front of the
class
JCoT 1. The teacher asks each
member of the group to count
1-6. Each member should
memorize their own number.
The teacher will give play song
randomly and asks certain
number to tell about language
use and message of the song
quickly. The group whose
member can answer the
question quickly and correctly
will become the winner.

2. The teacher asks one student


from each group as
representative to act out the
title of the song. When one
student give clue about the
song, all the groups must guess
the title of the song. The group
that can guess the answer
quckly and correctly will get
point and the group with
highest point will become the
winner.
ICot 1. Asks students to write down
their favorite song lyric and
analyze the language use and
message in the song. They can
use their gadget to browse the
lyric and give explanation why
they choose the song.

2. The teacher asks each


student to compare he/her
work with friend who is sitting
next to he/her.
