TERRORISM STUDIES

Firstly, we want to tell you that the encounter is designed to provide a discussion
platform about the definition of the guidelines, epistemological, methodological, of the
contemporary history linked to the problem in question, integrating the various
contributions constructed from different possibilities of field trimming already
constituted. On the other hand, as aspiration of the coordinators it´s found: establish
the appropriate conditions for critical reflection and dialogue, in order to enhance the
understanding of social, political, economical and cultural realities.

- Registration and participation in the encounter are free.

- The meeting it Will be held in Santiago de Compostela, between October 27 th and 28


th, 2020, in the faculty of Geography ad History from the University of Santiago de
Compostela.

- The coordinators are: César Manuel Román and Lisandro Cañón.

- In order to obtain the work presentation certificate, encounter attendance is essential.

- Presentation of the communication: it is planned that each guest will have 20 minutes
to present their work, furthermore, debate at the end of each session.

Important: the time of the presentations may differ depending of the final number of
participants in each session, although it will never be less than 15 minutes.

General guidelines for sending proposals for panels and communications

1. Proposals of up two authors are accepted

2. An author can only participate with a proposal regardless of whether it is

individual or as a couple.

3. The summary, whose maximum length is 200 words must contain, unfailingly:

objectives and thematic addressed (duly delimited).

4. Proposals will be received until July 15, 2020. The coordinators will analyze the

proposals received and undertake to contact those interested within a period


not exceeding seven days for the purpose of informing about acceptance,

rejection or the need to extend the proposal. Therefore, if your sending is from

July 1, the coordinators will contact you no later than July 8.

5. The accepted languages for the proposals are: GALICIAN, ITALIAN,

SPANISH, PORTUGUESE, ENGLISH.

Specific guidelines for the proposal of panels

1. Registration of the symposium coordinator and at least one of the authors of

each communication is required.

2. It must have a responsible coordinator who will send the symposium proposal

and will maintain communication with the organizing committee of the

congress.

3. The coordinator will send a symposium summary with maximum 600 words,

along with a summary of each communication with maximum 200 words.

4. The symposium will contain between 4 (minimum) and 6 communications

(maximum).

5. The proposal must be sent to the contact email.

6. The scientific committee will be responsible for evaluating the symposium

proposal.

7. Is not necessary sent in advance the full text of each communication.

After the congress, the rules for the final edition of the works will be

communicated.

For the communication proposal

1. Registration of at least one of the authors is required.

2. The summary must contain a maximum of 200 words.

3. The proposal must be sent through “communication proposal” form.

4. The organizing committee will be responsible of distribute communications in

sessions grouping communications with the same theme.

5. Is not necessary sent in advance the full text. After the congress, the rules for

the final edition of the words are communicated.
