Dear Ms. Escote,

We, the undersigned officers of Confederation of Filipino Workers (“CFW”), write on behalf of
our Local Union, CFW-Hanes Brand, Inc. Chapter.

As you may already know, the entire Luzon is currently under an extended Enhanced
Community Quarantine (“ECQ”), effective until 30 April 2020, due to the rapid spread of
COVID-19 cases in the Philippines. While we are one with the management that Covid-19
indeed affects both the company and its employees, we nevertheless come before your office
having in mind the welfare of our local members.

In line with this, we respectfully request for the conversion in monetary equivalent of our Local
Chapter’s benefits under its existing CBA, particularly: (a) Company Outing; and (b) Sports
Fest. The request for conversion, and hopefully its eventual distribution, would be a huge
financial aid to our members in this crisis.

We hope that the Management seriously take into consideration our request. Thank you and we
look forward to hearing from you.
