Instruction
Define the following emerging technologies:
Homework 1
Artificial intelligence
-(AI) refers to the simulation of human intelligence in machines that are programmed to think like
humans and mimic their actions. The term may also be applied to any machine that exhibits traits
associated with a human mind such as learning and problem-solving.

Robotics
-an interdisciplinary research area at the interface of computer science and engineering. Robotics
involves design, construction, operation, and use of robots. The goal of robotics is to design intelligent
machines that can help and assist humans in their day-to-day lives and keep everyone safe.

Biometrics
-are body measurements and calculations related to human characteristics. Biometrics authentication is
used in computer science as a form of identification and access control. It is also used to identify
individuals in groups that are under surveillance.

Quantum Cryptography
-the science of exploiting quantum mechanical properties to perform cryptographic tasks.

Computer-assisted translation
computer-assisted translation tool, abbreviated as CAT, is a process which includes the use of software
to aid individuals in translating. In case of time constraints, a computer-assisted translation tool can
effectively reduce the translation time, enabling the translator to translate content in a timely manner.
3D imaging and holography
-defined as a 3D projection that exists freely in space and is visible to everyone without the need for 3D
glasses. ... A 3D hologram displays products, objects, and animated sequences three-dimensionally and
enables seemingly real objects or animations to appear to float completely freely in space.

Virtual reality
-a simulated experience that can be similar to or completely different from the real world. Applications
of virtual reality can include entertainment and educational purposes
