Fall 2020

KSLA Susquehanna Valley

KSLA Susquehanna Valley, in partnership with KSLA Central PA and Pearson/Savvas,
will provide a FREE live webinar on Thursday, October 22 at 6:00 pm.

“Generative Vocabulary”
A live webinar presented by Melissa Blasick & Kristen Pereira, Literacy Specialists at Pearson/Savvas

Learn about the latest research on Generative Vocabulary instruction. As educators, we know
that vocabulary instruction is vital to advanced student achievement. Learning English is HARD for
both native and non-native English speaking students. We simply can not teach all the vocabulary
our students will need to successfully understand complex texts. Generative vocabulary instruction
uncovers the patterns within and across words and helps students navigate the intricacy of the
English language.
Join us on Thursday, October 22 at 6:00 pm for a live webinar on Generative Vocabulary by
Melissa Blasick and Kristen Pereira from Pearson/Savvas. This free workshop is designed for
teachers of Pre-Kindergarten through grade 12. Para-professionals, pre-service teachers and
college students are also welcome to join us! In addition, at the end of the meeting, you have the
opportunity to win a $25.00 Barnes and Noble gift certificate. If you win, you will be contacted.
