World Teachers Day, PUPSRC celebrates

In line with the annual celebration of World Teachers Day, which is

observed on 5th October every year, the Student Council Organization prepared a
mini-celebration at PUP-SRC faculty room last October 2 nd. At least 45 professors
and faculty members participated on the gathering, as well as other selected
organizations’ officers.
PUP-SRC Director Charito Montemayor, on her opening message,
expressed a heartfelt speech which includes her sentiments addressing certain
personal issues about her life, as well as the tasks that needs to be accomplished by
the whole faculty administration.
Following the Director’s speech, a performance from PUP Choral took
place, wherein the group performed a touching rendition of ‘You’ by The
Carpenters. The program then proceeds with the distribution of personalized
tumblers for the educators as souvenirs.
Video presentations were shown at the program, one is an inspirational short
film from Vincentiments, a content creator on YouTube. The video demonstrated a
Teacher vs Student approach, in an argument expressing their sentiments towards
each other. The other audiovisual includes a montage of video greetings from the
PUP students, all around the campus.
Following the video presentation was the salo-salo with the professors and
organization officers. The Student Council Organization, as well as other
Organization officers brought and prepared the food based from their designated
tasks.
The mini celebration lasted for almost 4 hours, 4 hours full of laughter,
appreciation, and recognition.
