 NATURE OF THIS INSTRUCTION

Pavement Design Subject is a branch of civil engineering with application of theory of
structures, and civil engineering design with external effect of seismic motion of earth
crust and continental plates.

 APPROACH OF INSTRUCTION
Principles of Pavement Design is hereby given preference in this instruction since this
is specialized branch of civil engineering that supports and interface with the
structure subject to seismic motion will be treated to be analyze in this subject

 PRINCIPLE OF PAVEMENT DESIGN

Hence, principle of design is hereby presented in this subject, as preparatory of
massive and complicated structural design of different infrastructures.

 STUDY OF PAVEMENT DESIGN FOR ALL MATERIALS DESIGN MIX

Pavement Design has study to consider before a design should takes place and this
field of design has different way in studying its parameters. The most important to
study of pavement design is the usage of materials, what type of materials is to be
used. Testing of materials and its quality material requirement according to standard
codes and specification. The standard codes and specification is ASTM (American
Specification of Testing of Materials).

 PRACTICAL APPLICATION OF PAVEMENT DESIGN ENGINEERING

Its practical application of pavement design is interfacing with the design of road
highways, with its concentration on the parameters of pavement design
