Philip Diehl: Stator
Philip Diehl: Stator
Ceiling fan was first discovered by Philip Diehl in 1882.The below diagram
shows the parts of the ceiling fan motor.in addition to this, fan blades, hooks, etc.
STATOR:
ROTOR:
The rotor is positioned at an angle from the stator. The distance between
these two and the geometry of them makes 2 out of phase magnetic field.Since
the rotor repels the rotating magnetic field, the fan starts spinning.
FIDGET SPINNER:
HOUSING:
This is the outer covering that envelops the rotor as it revolves on the
bearings around the stator and also the fan blades are attached to it.
FAN BLADES:
They are also known as BRACKETS.It is the thing which connects the fan
blades to the motor.
FLY WHEEL:
J-hook
U-bolt
WORKING OF CEILING FAN:
The ceiling fan has a motor that converts electrical energy into mechanical
energy.First, the capacitor torques up the motor, thereby causing it to run.as the
current reaches the coils of wire,a magnetic field is produced which creates force
in a clockwise motion. In this way, electrical energy is converted into mechanical
energy and causes the motor coils to spin.
The fan does not cool the air in the surroundings. The chillness is due to the
air from the fan interacts with the sweat on our body.Due to density, warm
air comes up and the fan circulates the warm air.
