KFUEIT Research and Innovation Society
 1. Introduction of Society
KFUEIT Research and innovation society is formed to promote latest academic and
scientific research. This society will promote the progress of research and innovation in
KFUEIT through national and international conferences, seminars, Colloquium, workshops
panel discussion.
2. Mission of Society
To provide a plate form and an environment which will faster research, exchange of
innovation ideas among the students, researcher and faculty of KFUEIT. The main purpose of
this society is to serve as an association for stimulating, guiding and supporting its members
to complete the research and development activities for the advancement of KFUEIT.
3. Vision of Society
Make student, researchers and faculty of KFUEIT skillful about new advancement in science
and technology. It will serve as awareness platform for quality research and innovation.

4. Objectives of Society
 To organize conferences, seminars and symposia on resent research
 To plan workshop and trainings for students, staff and faculty to enhance technical
skills.
 To arrange competition (poster/oral) for quality research.
 To share information about project and patent writing.
 To discuss creative ideas for solving current issues and challenges.
 To promote publication and creative writing.

List of Events
1. Titles of events “Challenge yourself”, or “Brainstorming Contest”

Proposed Date 28-2-2018

 Theme, Energy, Environment, water, Engineering

 Plan of event: Different challenges in each category will be announced. Rules if
participation will be described. Written proposal for the solution of challenges in each
category will be accepted.
 Judging team of maximum 03 subjects’ experts in each category will be selected.
 Winning team will get prize on the event day. Judges will initially the importance of
challenge category and each event as well.

2. An invited lecture on the awareness of “Brackish water treatment process”.

Proposed Date 21-02-2018

Engineer Muhammad Saqib Hameed has vast experience on the working of RO plants for
cleaning brackish water. His lecture will be beneficial to utilize chemistry and engineering
research to solve water crisis.

3. Patent Writing Workshop

Proposed Date 07-03-2018

Main objective of this workshop is to prepare the research in KFUEIT to adopt recent
innovation and standards in intellectual property rights so that their research can compete
with the world. The workshop will provide applicants a better understanding and filling of
patent in Pakistan’s patent office. Moreover it also provides information to file patent
application in Pakistan’s patent office.

4. An invited lecture on the awareness of “Halal Certification in Pakistan”

Proposed Date 14-03-2018

There are approximately 50 Halal certified companies internationally which makes the
certification an important aspect of Pakistan’s trade portfolio. There are state of art Halal
slaughter houses exporting to Middle-East markets following international manufacturing
standards and compliance.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Bhanger has established” Halal Food Testing Laboratory “in HEJ
Karachi. He will deliver lecture on the important areas of research Halal Food Testing.

5. 1st National symposium on climate change

Proposed Date 16-03-2018 to 17-03-2018

This national symposium will provide opportunities for industry, government, non-
governmental organizations, practitioners, scientific experts, decision makers and others to
network, discuss and learn more about latest products and tools in the field of climate change
impact and adaptation from across Pakistan. The symposium will include 02 days of plenary
and key note addresses, concurrent session presentations including adaptation within
industrial sectors such as mining, forestry, energy, transportation and insurance. This event
will highlight the multitude of research, information and tools that have been developed to
understand and manage climate risks.

6. SCInema 2018

Proposed Date 21-03-2018

SClnema aims to educate researchers about the current state of science and technology
depicted on the silver screen by pairing popular movies with TED style talk given leading
experts in the field.

7. An invited lecture on the awareness of “Drug Delivery System for Cancer Treatment “

Proposed Date 28-03-2018

Dr. Arslan Ahmed from COMSATS, Lahore will share his research contributions in the drug
delivery system for Cancer Treatment with students and faculty.
