ROUTINE CONTROL RESULTS

Samplings on part lots during manufacture and performed to every fitting of the types
to which they are applicable according to our QAP 20078 IND.A.

1. Gontrols of Dimensions and Aspect

Verifications of dimensions and aspect performed on part Lots are conforming with
manufacturing drawings.

2. Galvanizing Control

Zinc coating thickness measurements performed during manufacture are satisfactory

and comply with BS 729.

3. Mechanical Strength Control

Routine Mechanical Breaking load controls performed have given satisfactory results.

]NSPECTION SAMPLE TESTS : PROGEDURE

1 ASSEMBLING TEST OF COMPLETE STRING

Visual and dimension measurements. Insulator units are provided by the customer.
One sample of each string will be assembled to r.,erify the overall dimensions, the presence of
component and the compatibilitry between them.

2 SAMPLING RULES
The samples are selected at random from fittings which are presented for inspection and whicl
passed the appropriate routine test. The purchaser has the right to make the selection.
p : number of samples or the nearest whole number greater than p.
p=4 ( onty non-destructive sample f when n < 100
p=4 when100<n<500
p=4+ 1,5n/1000 when500< n <20000
p = 19 + 0,75n/1000 when n > 20 000
The number of samples io be taken at random is shown in the scope of material for testing.

3 VERIFICATION OF DIMENSIONS OF COMPONENTS

The dimension and aspect of the samples is verified according to the relevant approved drawir
manufacturing drawings and eventually particular requirement of customer specifications.

4 MECHANICAL SAMPLE TEST

Inspection Mechanical Destructive test for safety elemerrt are performed on each lot.
Mechanical Test are performed on a 500 KN Hydraulic Pulling bench, equipped with a
"KlS 1 - BOFOR ELECTRONIK" Ioad guage and a recording apparatus.
MechanicalTest results are according to table hereafter.

5 GALVANIZING SAMPLE TEST

Verification of coating aspect, adherence, visual continuity and zinc thickness
are performed according to requirernents of BS 729
Zinc thickness measurement is performed by means of a magnetic thickness guage-
PERMASCOPE FISHER - M 11 Type, fitted with a - cAB 1 - 3 probe.
Zinc thickness Tests results are according to table hereafter.

6 PACKING & MARKING

Verification of Packing & Marking according to our QAP 20078 IND.A
and particular requirements of customer specifications.
