LEARNING ACTIVITY 1

Activity I
Study the Title, “Learner-Centered Principles (LPC)”. List down 10 words that can be associated
with LCP. Submit your responses, and summarize your responses.

We Think that LCP focus on applying the learning processes of the learners-from children, to
teachers, to administrators, to parents, and to community members that involves education. "Learner
centered" is the perspective that couples a focus on individual learners - their heredity, experiences,
perspectives, backgrounds, talents, interests, capacities, and needs - with a focus on leaning. The best
available knowledge about learning and how it occurs about teaching practices that are most needed by
everyone.

Activity II

1. Read a research or study related to Learner-Centered Psychological principles (LCP). Fill
out the matrix below.

comparative data for use in this work.

1. How are the findings of this research useful to teachers?

It is proven that not all children/learner can be based their learning according to their ages.
Because we all know that there are some of them are advanced in learning things. There are also some
of them that their learning is only based on their ages on what is developed on them. Acquiring this
sophisticated knowledge and developing a practice that is different from what teachers themselves
experienced as students requires learning opportunities for teachers that are more powerful than simply
reading and talking about new pedagogical ideas. Therefore, the research is helpful for the teachers to
broaden their knowledge on how can they be flexible and considerate on teaching a learner to improve
more. These research findings envision the professional teacher as one who learns from teaching
rather than as one who has finished learning how to teach.

2. Write a reflection about the module on Learner-Centered Psychological Principles.

As soon as a child/learner is developing their skills, let them be and let them
explore the things that they want to be. I as a future educator, I realize that all we just
need is to assist them, care for them and most of all, let them know or feel how important
is learning being well developed. That they can be more dependable and comfortable in
learning things through their own efforts and perspiration. Let them be put it in their mind
and heart that through learning can bring their lives more successful and professional
and make their dreams come TRUE….
