201.2 - Hydroxyl groups are indicated by the prefix "hydroxy-" when a group having
priority for citation as principal group is also present or when the hydroxyl group is
present in a side chain.
Examples to Rule C-201.2
201.3 - Radicofunctional names (see Subsection C-0.2) of alcohols consist of the radical
name derived from that of the parent compound, followed by the word "alcohol".
201.4 - The following are examples of trivial names which are retained:
