Dear Sir or Madam,

I am a clinical educator at the University of Maryland Orthopedic Rehabilitation Institute

and have earned my master’s degree as a nurse executive. I was Ms. Jasmine Washington’s Clinical
professor during her first-year clinical rotation at the nursing school, Anne Arundel Community
College. As her clinical instructor, I have had the pleasure of mentoring of someone who is as
hardworking, dedicated, passionate, and diligent as Ms. Washington. She always provides unparallel
quality of work and makes sure she does everything right, which is a valuable quality when it comes to
a profession where people’s lives are at stake.

I also find Ms. Washington to be a responsible and trustworthy leader. She delegated tasks
skillfully and was able to communicate her requests and notions to the nursing technicians and her
peers. Ms. Washington is a team player and always strives to do her best. She has genuine empathy
and compassion to patients. Her outstanding nursing potential would be a valuable addition to your
healthcare team. It was a pleasure and honor to have a student with Ms. Washington’s abilities and
character. Again, with a level of pride, I recommend you strongly consider Ms. Washington’s
acceptance to your institution.

Best regards,
Grace H. Smith MSN RN CMSRN
