The welding generator provides power while welding and with the Amperage
control in any position. However, under these conditions equipment connected to
the welding generator may be subject to larger than normal voltage fluctuations. It
is recommended that only lamps be powered under these conditions.

10-1. Troubleshooting
A. Welding
Trouble Remedy
No weld output; generator power out- Check control settings.

Prior to LC654122: Check fuse F1 and replace if open (see Section 7-4 or 8-4). Prior to LA199100, fuse
F1 was located inside unit on lower left side.
Eff w/LC654122: Reset circuit breaker CB4.
If F1 or CB4 continue to open, check integrated rectifier SR2 and the rotor.
Check plug PLG6 connection.
Check integrated rectifier SR2, and replace if necessary.
Clean slip rings, and install new brushes if necessary (see Section 10-10).
Disconnect leads 21 and 26 from the rotor, and check continuity across slip rings. Replace rotor if neces-
sary.
Disconnect stator excitation leads 28 and 29, and check continuity between leads. Replace stator if
necessary.
Check field current regulator board PC1 and connections, and replace PC1 if necessary (see Section
10-4, 10-6, or 10-8).
B. Generator Power
