1 PROJECT DESCRIPTION
VAALCO Gabon (Etame), Inc. is expanding the development of the Etame-Marin field offshore Gabon,
West Africa. The Etame Expansion Project includes the transportation and installation of two (2) new
Etame & SEENT fixed platforms, subsea equipment including pipelines, flexible flowlines, tie-in spools
and Valve/WYE skids, and the relocation of four (4) existing flexible flowlines. The Etame-Marin Field
is located in the Gulf of Guinea, Offshore Gabon, West Africa in approximately 80 m water depth.
The new Etame WHP Platform will serve as a first stage processing facility for 1 future and up to 8 new
dry tree wells. Gas will be exported from the Etame Platform to an FPSO located approximately 2.4
km east of the platform. Likewise, the new SEENT WHP production platform will supply fuel gas to the
FPSO approximately 7.0 km to the north.
EMAS AMC has been awarded the installation contract for work packages 1 to 4 in the Etame /
SEENT development which include:

2 SCOPE OF WORK
The purpose of this procedure is to detail the tasks associated with the mobilization and discharge of
the HLV MV Gloria and Installation Vessel, Lewek Express required for VAALCO Etame Campaign 1
Reel Lay Scope of Work. The HLV has been chartered for the transportation of a 10.2 m flexible reel
and ancillary equipment from Kalundborg, Denmark to the Port of Gentil, Gabon where she will offload
cargo directly to quayside. The reel and ancillary equipment will then be loaded by the Lewek Express
at a later date for transportation & installation activities in field.

6 COMMUNICATIONS
6.1 Key Contacts – Reel Loadout in Kalundborg, Denmark
A pre-mobilization meeting will be held with EMAS-AMC project personnel, VAALCO personnel,
Marine Warranty Surveyor, NOV personnel and HLV Master to confirm lines of communications and
other requirements of personnel and equipment for loadout & seafastening of the Flexible Reel and
ancillary equipment.
All deck crane operations will be directed by the HLV Deck Foreman or his nominated personnel.
The EMAS AMC’ Loadout Engineer shall have the overall responsibility for the mobilization work. The
HLV Master and deck foreman shall liaise closely and advise the loadout engineer of vessel or crane
limitations that may otherwise impact loadout activities. The organization chart for loadout activities in
Kalundborg, Denmark can be found below.

9 EQUIPMENT PARTICULARS
9.1.1 HLV Cargo to be Discharged in Port Gentil, Gabon
Mobilizaton of the HLV shall be performed at NOV facilities in Kalundborg Harbour, Denmark.
Equipment to be mobilized on the HLV includes a 10.2 m Flexible Reel and repair kit connex among
various other spare and service parts.
A comprehensive list of equipment to be mobilized on the HLV In Denmark can be found in Appendix
E: Equipment List. Prior to custody transfer, an overage, shortage, damage report will be conducted
to ensure all free-issued items are present and in good condition. Tabulated equipment is subject to
change; the Equipment list shall be maintained by the project team.

11.5 Reporting
A daily progress report shall be submitted to Contractor every 24 hours throughout the hiring period.
The format of the report shall be agreed in advance. As a minimum, the report shall include current
vessel location, ETA, weather and bunker details. The report shall be issued daily before 0800 hrs US
Central Time.

STEP BY STEP DETAILS OF LIFTING OPERATION:
Loading Flexible Flowline Reel into RDS4
1 Attach tag lines to Flexible Flowline Reel.
2 Ensure cradles have been disconnected from reel.
3 Confirm rigging is correctly assembled.
4 Connect main block of Crane 1 to crown rigging of spreader bar.
5 Crane to lift spreader bar and bring above reel.
6 Rigging to be connected to the reel lift points.
7 Crane to lift reel clear of the cradle.
8 Crane to knuckle in and slew bringing the reel into the RDS4.
9 Crane to lower reel into RDS4 cradle.
10 Rigging to be disconnected and removed.
