Lane: Hello Philippines!.....
Ronie: ...and hello future change makers.
Lane: What a wonderful night for all of us here, are you excited Ron?
Ronie: Tama ka diyan Lane, napakaganda nga ng gabi ngayon at pinagpapawisan na
ako dahil sa excitement ng ating webinar event.
Lane: Ngayong gabi ay magdadala satin ng kasabikan at paghanga mula sa ating mga
guest speakers.
Ronie: So, wag na nating patagalin pa Lane, it is our pleasure to welcome you to the
very first webinar event that will surely make a legacy on the history of Spectrum.
Lane: Thank you so much for being with us tonight, get ready to enjoy and delve into
something extra ordinary. For the welcome address, may I request Ms. Janelle Boquida,
The Spectrum’s Co- Founder and Editor in Chief, for her remarkable warm welcome.

Ronie: So, let’s meet our guest speakers.
/Introduction of Guest Speakers/
Lane: Mr. Samuel Madriaga is a youth leader from San Pablo City, Laguna who
primarily advocates for an empowering community for the youth and Persons with
Disabilities (PWDs). He is also a public speaker who aims to empower the youth in its
pursuit for a strengthened collaboration with its local communities and beyond through
various community building and humanitarian projects. A student leader under the
program of BS Occupational Therapy, he serves as the Chairperson of the UP Manila
College of Allied Medical Professions in the University of the Philippines - Manila. To
materialize his advocacies, he recently established the Alliance of Public Health
Advocates (ALPHA), the first-ever youth-led health organization in San Pablo City, in
which he serves as its Chief Executive. He is also the Vice Chairperson of the
Operations Committee of the Local Youth Development Council, Co-Founder/Director
for Youth Engagement of Sulong San Pablo, Chairman of the Eagle Scouts Association
of San Pablo City Council, Member of the Ten Outstanding Boy Scouts Association, Inc.
and the Regional Membership Director of the Youth Advocates for the Philippines -
Region IV-A. In 2016, he was awarded as one of the Ten Outstanding Boy Scouts of the
Philippines, Gawad Felicisimo T. San Luis Ten Outstanding Youth of Laguna and the
Outstanding Youth of San Pablo which was given in March 2017. During the pandemic,
he stood as the Project Head/Initiator of the #KilosKabataan Project. He also served as
a National Coordinator for the Bantay Bayan of GoodGov PH and Mission Head of the
House Matitiyaga of the Batch 2 of Young House Heroes. He was also one of the
fellows of +iMPACT Freedom and Friedrich Naumann Foundation’s Freedom
Fellowship in which he stands as one of its ALPAS Ambassadors and one of the
pioneer members of the ASEAN Youth Engagement Summit Asia Leaders Cohort.
Ronie: We also have Mr. Dennis John T. Barimbao, a National Council Member of
Family Planning Organization of the Philippines, a President of Family Planning
Organization of the Philippines Youth Core Group Davao, I am Hampaslupa
Campaigner of Greenpeace, a Region 11 Deputy Director of Youth Advocates for the
Philippines, a licensed professional teacher and a 1 st year master in Public
Administration in University of Mindanao. Once again…
Ronie: For our third guest speaker is Miss Robi Kate E. Miranda, she is a writer-
researcher of Message, Movements, Media, Inc., and a marketing associate of The
Climate Change Corp. Currently, she is also an active member of Youth Advocates for
the Philippines, Youth for Mental Health Coalition, and 2030 Youth Force in the
Philippines. Moreover, she is also a former program researcher of Kapuso Mo, Jessica
Soho where she was awarded as the Favorite Program Researcher of 2019. She
graduated last 2019 with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Development
Communication from the University of the Philippines Los Banos as a cum laude. She is
a proud advocate of youth empowerment, sustainable solutions for the future, mental
health awareness, financial literacy, and science communication.  From time to time,
she devotes herself to doing volunteer works, watching documentaries, TV series, and
KDrama.
Lane: Ayan, nakilala na natin ang tatlong magigiting na speakers sa larangan ng
journalism.
Ronie: Tama ka Lane, makikilala at makakasama natin sila mamaya in sharing their
inputs about their chosen topics. Mukhang magiging inspired at motivated nanaman
tayo dahil sa kanila.
Lane: So, what are we waiting for Ron? Let's hear from our speakers!
Ronie: Yes, Lane! For our first speaker let’s have Mr. Samuel Madriaga in enlightening
us about Reimagining the Role of Youth Journalism in Nation-building.

Lane: Before we introduce to our second speaker, I think mas maganda siguro Ron
kung may intermission coming from our participants. Exciting right?
Ron: …Oo, Lane ayan na, di lang tula ang hatid ng ating pangalawang intermission
number kundi sakit at realisasyon na siyang magmumulat sa’tin sa katotohan.
Lane: Nako ron, sa mga matatamaan dyan. Ilag ilag nalang. Ready yourself as we
witness the spoken poetry coming from our very own Content Editor, Alek Mangasar.

Ron: Thank you so much Alek. Mukhang naiiyak ka na dyan Lane? May tissue ako dito.
Lane: Konti lang naman. Ikaw ba ron naranasan mon a rin ba yung hindi mabigyan ng
assurance?
Ron: Nako, nako anong assurance ba yan? Health Insurance lang Lane.
Lane: Oh sige Ron, ako na kukuha. Well alam kong hindi lang kami ang namulat sa
katotohanan at nasaktan ditto no, narito naman ang ating second speaker para imulat
tayo sa realidad ng ating bayan at bilang kabataan. He will share to us tonight on how to
be a good leader. Di ba Ron?
Ronie: Syempre naman! Hindi kayo masasaktan ngunit kayo ay mabibigyang pag-asa
hindi man sa jowa pero para pa-angatin ang isat- isa. Let’s welcome Mr. Dennis

Ronie: Ayan, parang wala ng energy yung participants natin Lane, parang matamlay na,

Lane: I think Ron gusto pa nila ng isang intermission number to hype their energy.
