Belief in The Day of Judgement
Lesson: 6
Omar Tim
1- Omar and Tim are discussing what they did last weekend.
It sounds interesting.
Yes, but It's weird. I don't think that will happen. What
does Islam say about that day?

Lesson: 6
Muslims believe that this life is only a preparation for the next life. This life is a test for each
individual. This day will come when life comes to an end and the dead are resurrected to be
judged before God. This day is the beginning of a life that never ends. Names of this day are the
Day of Judgement, the Resurrection, Day of Gathering, and the Great Announcement. On that
day, Allah rewards all people according to their beliefs and deeds. Those who die while believing
“There is no true god but Allah, and Muhammad is the Messenger (Prophet) of Allah”, Allah
rewards them on that day and admits them to Paradise forever, as Allah says: ……..(1)……..
But those who die not believing “There is no true god but God, and Muhammad is the
Messenger (Prophet) of God”, they lose Paradise forever and Allah sends them to Hellfire, as
Allah says: ….(2)…… and He says: ……..(3) ……….
Prophet Muhammad (Peace be Upon Him) comes to warn us of the day of judgement when
truth, the thoughts and intentions are revealed.
This life we live today is a very short life. The unbelievers on the Day of Judgement think that
the life they lived on earth was only a day or part of a day, as Allah says: ………….(4)…………. and
He says: ……..(5) ……..
The life in the Hereafter is a real life. It is not only spiritual, but physical as well. We live there
with our souls and bodies.
When comparing this world with the Hereafter, the Prophet Muhammad says {The value of
this world compared to that of the Hereafter is like what your finger brings from the sea when
you put it in and then take it out.}

day or part of a day....” (Quran, 23:112-113)
2- And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will not be accepted from him and he will
be one of the losers in the Hereafter. (Quran, 3:85)
3- Did you then think that We had created you in jest (without any purpose), and that you
would not be returned to Us (in the Hereafter)? So, God is exalted, the True King. None has the
right to be worshipped but Him... (Quran, 23:115-116)
4- Those who have disbelieved and died in disbelief, the earth full of gold would not be
accepted from any of them if it were offered as a ransom. They will have a painful punishment,
and they will have no helpers. (Quran, 3:91)
5- And those who believe and do good deeds, they are dwellers of Paradise, they dwell therein
forever. (Quran, 2:82)
