1. Calculate the molecular mass of the following compounds and classify them in: acid,
hydroxides, metallic or non-metallic oxides and salts.

b. FeCl3 *H2O
c. (NH4)3PO4
d. Cu(OH)2

2. Where are there more molecules, in 1 mole of common salt or in one mole of sugar?
Why?

3. How many moles and how many molecules of caffeine - C8H10N4O2- are there in a
tablespoon of coffee if it contains 15 grams of this substance?

4. In a chemical reaction 3 grams of Mg(MnO4)2 were used. How many molecules and how
many moles were involved?

5. If you use 0.3 moles of (NH4) 3 PO4 in a reaction. How many grams did you use in the
reaction?
