MATHEMATICS: A WALK IN THE PARK

From the vast universe down to the world we live in, numbers occupy a special space
called Mathematics. Tricky as it may seem, it still is a fun thing to learn by mind
and by heart, for Mathematics is an inevitable encounter whether you are at school,
or you are out there along the streets, just living your simple day-to-day life.

As the modern K-12 curriculum had finally taken its toll, Mathematics has proven
itself to be essential, especially in the STEM strand, otherwise known as Science,
Technology, Engineering, Math strand. It offers right on the table the basics of
STEM-related disciplines such as Calculus, Biology, Physics and Chemistry. Students
will get an overview of the foundation of most STEM fields which basically deal
with several branches of physical, Earth and life sciences, and pure and applied
mathematics. That is way too evident that Mathematics is a way of life, I suppose.

Also, math is often regarded as the language of science-- a way of computing

possibilities and measuring potentials. With that said, Math, indeed, is of strong
importance. Historically, the development of science, technology, engineering and
mathematics has often gone hand in hand, providing people with the skill set to
enhance the potential found within the planet. These subjects are the foundations
of learning innovation and development.

Students in the academe, including us, CHSians, are battling with math challenges.
In the Senior High School Department, learning different topics under the math
subject is just like a "walk in the park," but that park is a no-ordinary park-- it
is, with no exaggeration, a Jurassic Park. But the journey shall not end there,
because amidst the Math problems yet unsolved are the efficient teachers who have
mastered the art of Mathematics.

On an interview with a number of SHS students, their coping up stage was made
equally smooth and easy through the light and guidance of highly professional
teachers, both in dealing with numbers and in dealing with the students confined in
a math dilemma.

Yes, mathematics is, in fact, a process-- it is a continuous trail of discussions

where you won't want to miss out any if you don't wish to lose direction towards
your destination. Nonetheless, Mathematics is neither a zombie to fear about, nor a
communicable disease to run away from; it is, in the truest sense of the word, a
friend to be comfortable with, for once you get introduced to it and had an
intimate relationship with it, your worries with numbers will be gone with the blow
of the wind, and there you'll dance with the beat of math's music just as easy as
counting off from one to three. By then you'll say, gone are the Jurassic Park
days, for learning Mathematics by heart is really a walk in the park-- this time,
an amusement park.
