ACTIVITY 3: AN OPINION ESSAY ABOUT GLOBAL

POPULATION GROWTH

Nowadays, one of the main problems in the world is the dramatic population growth -
and it is normal if we take into account that it took man hundreds of years to reach one
billion inhabitants, but only two centuries to increase that number by seven-, so we will
show some areas where this problem has affected.
We can start by analyzing living and socioeconomic conditions, because there
is a relationship between population growth and poverty rates in the world. According
to Hans Rosling in his TedTalk, the causes of population growth are the lowest sector
of the "developing countries" that still do not have adequate family planning (small
families) and have not managed to be emerging economies.
On the other hand, if there are more people, it will be more difficult for countries
to have a good health system. A good example of this is the coronavirus: How did
countries react to the virus? They were prepared? The answer is "no", its health care
collapsed to the pandemic and developing countries (Latin America for example) were
concerned about ensuring that their hospitals do not collapse due to the increase in
infected.

On the other hand, we have environmental problems, since the evident population
growth of a country demands a greater expenditure of natural resources, global
warming, pollution, deforestation, and others, causing this problem to affect the entire
planet and living beings that inhabit it.
In conclusion, the answer is very simple, the planet has a limited capacity for resources
and is not adapted for a large population growth. So, it is very difficult for governments
to reduce their population, but we can stop it from growing by supporting the poorest
sectors and investing in green energy that helps our planet recover.

Passing the years, countries in general were filled with inhabitants and this generated
population growth, and of course, in a place where can not be expanded and only
increase people, in a future will appear many problems.  
If we have to know how well a country's health care works, we have to test it, and a
good example of that is the coronavirus, how countries reacted to the virus?, they were
prepared?; the answer is no, any country in the world were prepared, its health care
collapsed to the virus, a reason why of that is the population growth, if the country
would have been inhabited by few people, the health care would not collapsed, to the
evident population growth, a country demands and needs a bigger health care.

Writing task: (Script for Speaking Task)

Hi everyone!

My name is Alexander Araindia Martínez and today… SO, I will share with you one of
my personal goals. But first,----------------------------

Just for this speach Let's keep those type of goals on a note within our mind.

I want to focus on a goal related to achieving emotional satisfaction and leisure. Do

you know what I mean?

Well ... I’m talking about a hobby, since we all have some activity that we like a lot, but
that’s not your main priority in your daily life -unless it’s your career or job-.

Usually, we choose a career thinking about the things that a like to do

In my case, my hobby is music (listen and play songs) but right now at the University I
am not studying music

the goal that I set for myself is: I have to improve my technique and knowledge of my
favorite instrument -electric bass- before I finish university.----

Let me explain better, I have been in the world of music for a relatively short time (3-4
years) and despite being something that I really like, my passion for design and
architecture prevailed in my choice of a career. However, I don't want this hobby to be
just a nice memory from my high school days and I feel capable of improving on my
own.
According with that, I’m not a beginner in this area and I know basic theory, concepts,
and how to read sheet music. --------- It is very important because the musicians use it
to read the songs

In addition, I consider myself a persistent, skillful, hard-working person and committed

to the goals that I set for myself. For this reason, I only need to reserve a space within
my schedule to practice and expand the number of musical genres that I can play.

And that's it, thanks for listening and I invite you to set your own goals about a hobby or
activity different from your career or job, and make an effort to complete it.

Funciona solo si está conectado a un altavoz. Porque es eléctrico ... no funciona sin
energía. Es como una guitarra, pero mas grande y tiene un sonido diferente, como un
sonido grave. Por eso lo llamamos bajo.

Lo que necesito aprender...

Porque la mayoria escoge su carrera pensando en lo que le gusta hacer, pero a veces
tenemos mas de un hobby
