teachers’ guidance

adds up to the piled expenses of
teachers (not complaining,
instead trying to understand the
situation, though)
• Limitations in the
implementation of “usual’
developmental activities
(especially motivational
activities done physically)
broadens the teacher’s
technique to engage the
students to their topics
• NOT EVERY ONE (of the
students and the teachers) is
well-knowledgeable with the
mechanisms of the used
platforms- in between-trouble
shooting-during online sessions
lessens the time for the
lecture/discussion. Redundancy
of instruction is then becoming
the KEY, however this is getting
harder on the teacher’s note
• There are numerous students
across all year levels who were
unable to purchase/ or even
borrow reference books, again
this adds up to teacher’s
concern (how to provide them
the lectures, how will they
answer the task etc.)
• Asynchronous Activities were
supposedly done offline or
online (depending on the
learners’ call) as long as he was
able to accomplish the task
during the given time frame. But
 then, MAJORITY of the students
still kept on being online- this
fueled the concerns of parents
who are complaining then of the
LONG SCREEN TIME of their
children.
• There are some students who
would get in the class, but when
called would not respond (what
are they doing then?) – we are
advised not to require our
students to keep their videos
open the entire session to
lessen the data/internet
consumption on their ends
• Examinations were done online,
at home. WHAT COULD BE THE
GUARANTEE that they didn’t
open their books/notes while
taking the exam
• Above all, being PRO-STUDENT
in a way that are almost
becoming spoon-fed due to all
the considerations given to
them,Teachers are SEEMINGLY
LOSING THEIR
COMMAND/CLASS in THEIR
CLASS, since it should always
be in favor of the student’s
custody, especially at this trying
times due to the pandemic

RECOMMENDATIONS:
To further fortify the possible opportunities, the TCC Basic Education Department should
continually leverage their identified strengths.
To eliminate the possible threats, based on my point of view the following could be done:

• Parents should be highly encouraged to provide what their kids needed, they
should be in the first place, aware of the part and parcel of enrolling their children
to a private school, and make amend with such concerns
• Stability of Internet Connection is something that we do not have control over, but
students can be advised (if budget permits) to have their mobile data on standby.
Teachers, on the other hand should be generous enough sending his/her slides or
video discussion of the topic post learning sessions to somehow compensate with
the learning loss due to connectivity interruptions
• Hopefully, teachers will be given data consumption allowances, perhaps they will
be a little relieved with all the extra-sacrifices they are extending to better the
delivery of instructions the new normal way
• Students should be a given a particular day for tutorial sessions on the use of
Edmodo/Google Meet and Edmodo Classroom; they should also be re-briefed
about the difference of synchronous and asynchronous learning sessions
• Students should be continuously reminded of the virtue of Honesty; the department
should also think of ways on how students can be monitored while taking the exam
without causing further stress on both the teachers and parents-students side
• Students should be given due reprimand for their intentional-inadequacies to
prevent them from being laid-back; students ( in the case of those who cannot
attend online classes) should not be given special consideration the entire school-
year, parents should do something about it, too so as to be FAIR WITH
EVERYONE!
