PALAV Global – Coronavirus Update

Recently, we have seen the rise of a new global Pandemic – the coronavirus. We
at Team PALAV know that the coronavirus is scary, but there are many quick
things you can do to keep yourself and others safe

1) Wash your hands – make sure your hands are clean by washing them with
soap and water for at least 20 seconds and using hand sanitizer that is at
least 70% alcohol.
“We would also like to
2) Avoid touching you face repeatedly give a huge thank you
to all the brave
3) Try to avoid large public gatherings of more than 100 people
healthcare
4) Remain at home when possible professionals risking
their health every day.”

We at PALAV are helping solve this crisis by donating 20 Lakhs worth of medical
equipment to hospitals in India, such as multiparameter patient monitors, masks
to help protect doctors, and we are feeding 100 needy families for 2 week
through the Mukul Madhav Foundation.

We would also like to give a huge thank you to all the brave healthcare
professionals risking their health every day to help contain and fix this viral
outbreak.

Most importantly, we would like to urge everyone to remain calm, and make
sure that they and their families remain safe.

What’s Next?

As we head into a new decade, PALAV has many new ideas to

make 2020 our best year yet!

We look forward to expanding our operations both locally, with

our breastfeeding awareness initiative, and internationally,
where we hope to expand into countries that we are not
currently in to ensure that we can help as many babies as
possible.

Our goal is to donate over $100,000 worth of medical

equipment, and train more than 500 nurses and doctors about
lifesaving techniques to ensure the survival of prematurely
born babies across the globe.

Hometown Helpers

With the whole world trying to stall the rapid growth of the
coronavirus, face-masks, hand sanitizer, and other basic
medical necessities have come in short supply. Here at PALAV,
we plan to not only continue our efforts overseas, but also
help our local community through these troubling times

We plan to purchase and donate 10,000 face masks to 4 “We plan to purchase

Since they are in such sort supply, masks can be washed

Youth Leaders

In the midst of the coronavirus outbreak, we’ve

seen some youth leaders emerge to help combat the
crisis. Srihan Nalamati and Yash Potdukhe, both students
at Novi High School, have taken it upon themselves to
start a GoFundMe campaign in conjunction with PALAV to
help hospitals fight coronavirus. Srihan Nalamati (Pictured Left) and
Yash Potdukhe (Pictured Right)

In the brief time that their campaign has been

active, they have raised nearly $4,000! This money will
be put to good use purchasing masks, gloves, and other Project PALAV
essential equipment to help doctors deal with the fallout Palav.org nchouthai@gmail.com
