5. System Description
Land based drilling platform is unmanned & being monitored through DCS & routine round followed
by 24X7 security. It has 3 no’s bunkhouse (Spares, electrical and instrument) which is to be replaced
due to heavy corroded and roof are bulging, water ingress during rainy season, Therefore replacement
of bunk house is planned & accordingly operation of LBDP to be monitor , control & smooth
operational planning to be carried out during unavailability of required control.

Presently, we are utilizing 3 no’s of portable bunk for operation support at LBDP.
1) Instrument bunk house –LBDP Control room
2) Electrical bunk house –UPS room/power supply
3) Spare bunk house-Store room

Current use of portable bunk has been mentioned below.

1) Instrument bunk house –LBDP Control room

We have installed distribution control system at LBDP to monitor all parameter of flowing wells , LBDP
to gas plant , Gas plant to injection header and test separator , Through that DCS system with the help
of Team viewer we having control over the all the parameter from Hazira control room.

We are using LBDB CR to fulfill following requirement.

 Monitoring of flowing well parameters.
 To secure DCS system.
 To secure IT system.

2) Electrical bunk house –UPS room/power supply

All the power backup and other system that control and run electric system has been installed inside
electric portable cabin as per requirement of operations.

We are using electric potable cabin to carry out following activities.

 To secure Power back system.
 To provide power supply to DCS control system, & Power supply on field &
 To provide power supply to lights, ACs etc. & for security cabin.
 To secure electric system from rainy weather season.

3) Store Portable Cabin/Spare bunk house:-

We do use Spare cabin to store all the tool and tackles and other required material for regular
operations.
 We are using store potable cabin to carry out following activities.
 Storage of production chemicals.
 All the tools and tackles secured in store portable cabin.

In order to carry out replacement of portable bunk as per requirement, isolation sheets and sequence
of activities has been finalized.

6. Procedure

Brief sequence of Operations are given below-

6.1 Well Flow & other parameter monitoring
Presently these parameters are being monitored through LBDP control to CCR via team viewer but
during bunk house replacement there operational parameter can be handle by following manner.

Well flow monitoring will be carried out based on sales gas pressure and flow rate, In case of
deviation in well flow will cause of any well flow upset & accordingly necessary action be taken to
observed flow behavior during field round.

Below Mentioned Steps can be taken as per actual situation:-

 We do have schedule of three time visit to LBDP in a day during that those visit all the
parameter monitoring and recording can be done.
 We can monitor flow through sales gas pressure continuously from DCS, In case of any
deviation visit can be planned accordingly.
 Visual visit of available security at LBDP, if any leakage or anything happened then he will
inform to control room immediately also.
 Flow and parameter will be recorded from transmitter available on field during field round.
 Isolation of all the wells should be carried out to keep flowing during bunk replacement work.
 Wireless radio and landline phone should be readily available to communicate from LBDP to
Hazira control room and vice versa.

6.2 Operational shutdown-

Below mention situations has been considered to avoid operational shutdown.

 PSHH,ESDV,Header to gas plant PSHH,Header to gas plant PSLL,Injection header

PSHH and Injection header PSLL should be by passed DCS for every flowing well
before starting bunk replace mentioned operation.
 ESDV should forcefully open at field of every flowing well.
 HP & LP export line ESDV valve presently bypassed & not available at field.

6.3 Emergency Shutdown

To avoid any faulty emergency shutdown all the interlock has been by passed and Isolation sheet has
been prepared, same will be used before starting the work at LBDP.

 All ESDV of every flowing wells should be forcefully open, as we don’t have any access to
DCS system from Hazira control room.
 LBDP to Hazira plant header and Hazira plant to LBDP injection header ESDV valve should be

by passed to avoid any faulty shutdown or process upset.

Please note that in case of emergency, auto shutdown will not be happened with help of DCS in that
case, operational team have to reach immediately using emergency vehicle to LBDP & necessary steps
to be taken for manual isolation of well X-tree valves or headers valve based on situation /emergency
requirement.

6.4 LBDP Monitoring

We do have security guard available at LBDP for administrative monitoring of LBDP platform and
Operator will do visit thrice during the day.

 We do required sufficient light at LBDP during bunk replacement work at LBDP

 Wireless radio and Landline should readily available for communication to Hazira control
room.
 Additional torch should available at LBDP during bunk replacement at LBDP, In case of any
power failure same can be used.

Power requirement during bunk house replacement.-

 For LBDP visit for operational requirement during night shift.
 Power require in security hut, Phase-1, Phase-2, Injection header, flowing header, Tz#03 well
and DG area.
 Power may not require for instrument (SOV) installed at LBDP as it is isolated.

Note: Electrical department has confirmed that they will arrange alternative source for power
requirement.

6.1.1. Well Isolation:

It is required in case of emergency only & follow LBDP shut down SOP based on requirement.

Instructions:

 Read the well closing sequence.

 Isolation sheet must be maintained
