QUICKLY ACCUMULATING SNOW AND BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW WILL MAKE ROADS
VERY HARD TO CLEAR. WIND CHILLS BETWEEN 0 AND -5 DEGREES ARE EXPECTED TONIGHT.
THE HEAVIEST SNOW AND STRONGEST WIND GUSTS ARE EXPECTED TO COINCIDE BETWEEN
10 PM TONIGHT AND 10 AM WEDNESDAY WITH ANTICIPATED SNOW ACCUMULATIONS
BETWEEN 10 AND 15 INCHES.
It is suggested that citizens not travel on the roadways during the specific times of the Blizzard Warning, which is
7:00 PM on Tuesday February 1 through 7:00 PM on Wednesday February 2. HOWEVER, IF YOU MUST
TRAVEL HAVE A WINTER SURVIVAL KIT WITH YOU AND IF YOU GET STRANDED STAY WITH
YOUR VEHICLE.
Due to the potential severity of this storm the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office will make the following
adjustments to our operational procedures:

Metro Dispatch:
Community Corrections:
It is anticipated that on Thursday February 3, at 8:00 AM the above listed adjustments will no longer be in effect.
However, a media release will be sent out detailing any other altered response to the Sheriff’s Office operational
procedures.
