features of e-commerce technology. Which of the features does the store / mall
implement well, and which features poorly, in your opinion? (Support your
findings with an example)

Foodpanda
Ubiquity:
Foodpanda is a marketplace which is extended beyond traditional boundaries.
There is no need to be restricted to some physical place. You can place your order
from everywhere you want whether you are at your home, office, and even from your
car using mobile e-commerce.
For Example: You are at your office and feeling hunger all, you have to do is to place
your order of your desired food though mobile application in just few seconds.

Global reach:
Now it is operating across five continents and active in more than 500 cities
around the world. They have a large team of more than 3700
employees worldwide and are partnered with more than 38000 globally. It means
foodpanda has global reach. It is providing food to people of different regions
according to their preferences and cultures far more conveniently and cost effectively
than traditional commerce.
For Example: Foodpanda is offering food made of meat like mutton and beef in
Pakistan but in India they are offering vegetarian foods.

Universal standards:
Foodpanda is following universal standards of food safety and hygiene they
don’t provide you spoil food they forward your order to the dedicated restaurants and
then they prepare that order at that time.
For Example: Foodpanda forward your order as you place it to the restaurants so
that they prepare it freshly.

Foodpanda allows for two-way communication between merchant and
consumer through their customer service representatives.
For Example: If you are finding any difficulty in placing your order you just contact
with them through their customer service representatives, they can resolve your
matter on immediate basis.

Richness:
Foodpanda has the potential for offering considerably more information
richness than traditional waiters present in physical restaurants. You can chat with
online sales person for instance, comes very close to the customer experience in
any physical restaurants.
For Example: you can place your order just like you give order to waiters in
restaurants at any place and you are able to get more information richness.

Information density:
The total amount and quality of information available to all market participants
is not up to the mark because there is no option of consumer reviews. Whether they
liked their ordered food or not which is helpful for new customers to place their order.

random restaurant but you are confused it will be taste good or not.

Foodpanda enables the targeting of marketing messages to specific
individuals by adjusting the message to a person’s name, interests, and past
purchases.
For Example: Foodpanda trace cookies of their customers and provide offers similar
to that they offered previously.

Social Technology:
New Internet social and business models enable user content creation. It
helps to add more foods as per social trends and people preferences.
For Example: Foodpanda adding more foods and deals by using social technology.

Memorandum
To: Nauman Sikandar Mirza
From: Mudasar Rabani

Hello! First of all, I would like to thank you for giving time to see my memorandum.
As per my findings I observed different features of Foodpanda and did comparison
according to the features of any E-commerce store. Foodpanda is performing well in
most of the features like ubiquity, Global reach personalization, social technology
and interactivity. But it needs some improvements in rest of the features like richness
and information density foodpanda should provide more information density and
richness. In this regard I want to suggest to add consumer reviews option so that
new customers get benefit through others experiences.
