INTRODUCTION :

The internship is an integral platform for anyone to gain experience in an actual workplace.
Internship is a good opportunity for students to learn, to gain experience and also to make
preparation. Human beings learn through experience, and a real life is full of different kinds of
experiences. We will encounter many difficulties and obstacles, and with experiences we are
expected to be able to encourage and complete the cleansing process. Experience in my view is
very important in life because we need to be brave in taking risks. It is also not something that
we simply create, but we need to undergo through it. As a student of English Department I felt a
great need to utilize my knowledge. So I decided to take an internship course at GBES, being a
teacher to grab a golden opportunity to apply and utilize my skills and knowledge.

2.ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION :

Government Boys Elementry school Aliot Kahuta

As a student of English Department, I decided to take an internship course at Government Boys

Elementry School kahuta, Aliot

2.1 Location: GBES kahuta Aliot is located in village Aliot, Tehsil Kahuta District
Rawalpindi and is surrounded by a beautiful lake and trees.

2.2 Background and history : The roots of GBES can be trace back to 1960.
When the need for boy’s institution arouse. Mr.Muhammad Siddique offered a
patch of his own land for this institution. At the beginning, the institution took its
start under the shady trees. The building was constructed in 1962. The institution took
its start as primary institution and then it was upgraded as an Elementry school.

2.3 Mission : The institution offers the academic studies from PG to grade 8. Being located
in rural area, the institution has now become the most popular and effective one under the
supervision and guidance of Mushtaq Ahmed Kayani. Its first and most important mission is be
the representative of its area by providing the quality education.

2.4 Objectives :

 The objectives of GBES are;

 To identify and introduce standard education.
 To remove the illiteracy from rural sector of society.
 To provide its students a platform equal to other institutions
 Try to overcome the false beliefs Govt sector institutions.

3. TASKS AND JOBS PERFORMED DURING INTERNSHIP

In this institution for my internship, I worked under the guidance of English teachers. And for
that matter, I was provided the training of whole week in order to utilize my training and skills in
an effective way.

Week 1

During my ist week, I gained practical training related to the teaching of various subjects,
especially the teaching of English as a subject and language. Lectures were given by Mr. Nasir
Hussain( as he has done his TEFL) and is an important part of English faculty in the institution.

Week 2

After gaining some training and lectures, I begun by practical job. I was assigned the students of
grade 5 and 8. Firstly for a week I tried to fulfill or cover the academic syllabus or course outline
of both classes.

Week 3

After the completion of course requirement or course outline of both grades, I decided to begin
the test series of both classes in order to achieve best result in exams.

Week 4

Exams are considered an essential part to measure and to test the performance of students. After
the reopening of institution, after lock down, the head of organization decided to conduct ist
monthly exams of the students. I was asked to mark the papers grade 5 and 8 and also to compile
the result.

Week 5

At the end of first monthly exams, I was asked to begin with the syllabus of 2nd monthly exams

for a week.

Week 6

In 6th week, I requested my supervisor to allow me to conduct different activities for a week to
improve the spoken English skills of the students. It also helped me a lot in my own skills and
vocal bury as well.

5 RECOMMENDATIONS :

  After gaining experience in this organization. I have following recommendations;
 There should be a guidance map at entrance.
 There is an urgent need to hire more qualified staff.
 Support and encouragement from society is required to raise the status of institution.

6 EXPERIENCES :

During six weeks of internship I have accumulated various experiences and wider new
knowledge through activities and tasks had been assigned to me. My beloved supervisor
encouraged me to do diverse task across the department. My experiences worked as practical
trainee and teach me to be a thinker. From doing my internship it helped me in identifying my
strengths , weaknesses , the opportunities and the threats. It also means that I have learned many
new things. The opportunities that I have gained from this internship I am able to gain more
experiences and knowledge.

7 CONCLUSION :

On the whole, this internship was a useful experience. I have gained new knowledge, skills and
met many new people. Overall , internship is a really good program and recommended to my
fellow friends. It helps to develop new skills , polish my abilities. I hope my experience here
will make me an ideal candidate for future.
