Abstract
In this report I will explain almost all components of the classroom of
Teacher Sobia. Moreover in light of my observations mentioned here
anybody can easily understand and imagine about the selected site
school, interaction between teacher and students, how the classroom
environment was rich for learning, tools and techniques used by the class
teacher, passion of students and their interest to learning. I will also
discuss here that how I feel and what I think I got while performing as a
trainee teacher. All things I learnt was wonderful and will obviously
contribute to make me a good prospective teacher.
Part-I: Observation
Mrs. Sobia first say good morning when enter in class and in
response student stand to reply her in same words. Then teacher will sit
on the chair and say all class for sitting as well. Teacher take attendance
and then say student to take out their books and start reading of last day
homework and all kids start reading one by one for an half hour for a
single subject of Urdu or English. She periodically asks questions from
the same lesson related to a character or word to make them engaged
and alert in classroom. Any student raises hand if required teacher
assistance. I noticed that she is more focused on make strong base of
identification, reading, spelling, phonics and neat writing for every child.
Moreover I also noticed that teacher Sobia response to student’s
comments in all styles like positive, neutral and negative for example
Good, Super, No, this is not the right answer; let me to ask others or
anybody else.
I observed and feel that “The best way school” is enjoyable place
both for students and teachers. Parents who visit the school also feel
comfort and satisfy which make this school an ideal and brilliant place
for learning. Parent’s teachers meeting days, colour day, Independence
Day and other important days are celebrated with zeal that built a friendly
interaction among school management, teachers, parents and students.
So overall environment of this school will impress everyone and no one
can go without praising and commending about the salient features of
school.
Kind Regards
Miss Shamim,

Reflective notes:
I have chosen to discuss two of Mr. Zawar Ali lessons that combined,
combined covered at two hours interval. He stated the class every
morning with him reading lesson. Mr. Zawar Ali walked over to his chair,
sat down and called the children over and told them to all sits as “Indian
style”. After every child was seated with their hands in their lap, Mr. Amir
began explaining what story He would reading to the class the morning.
As he read, he used group altering by periodically asking the students
questions pertaining to the characters or the words in the story. Such as
“which word rhyme in this sentence?” or “What is the feeling word?” This
made the engaged time with the students last longer since they knew they
would be asked to answer. After reading the lesson, he would then tell
the kids to disperse into their groups and tell them what corners to go to.
Mr. Zawar Ali later explained that the kids were grouped based on their
scores from a test given at the beginning of the year. This way, he knew
he would have to work longer with a certain group or not as longer with
another based on how much they previously knew. The
kids then either went to the computer corner, the teacher’s aide, or to
work with Mr. Irfan. At each corner the children worked on word
identification, reading, phonics and spelling. The children who needed the
help more worked with Mr. Zawar Ali while the others worked at various
corners’ made the video of all the proceedings in which I focus the
mentor, student’s activities and overall environment of classroom

teacher’s desk, the student’s desk and the reading corner. Overall, the
classroom environment was very homey. He stated the class every

work with Mr. Irfan. At each corner the children worked on word
identification, reading, phonics and spelling. The children who needed the
help more worked While Mr. Irfan was teaching the individuals groups, I
noticed how often He would have to talk time away from his teaching to
discipline the other kids. It seemed almost ridiculous how often He would
have to stop to make sure nobody was talking, being disruptive, or not
doing their work. I felt upset for those kids who wanted to learn but could
not because Mr. Zawar Ali was playing policeman. This showed me how
much time really goes into non-instructional activities. If any of the
disruption ever got out of control beyond a warning, then He would use
the discipline tracker. He would move a cloth spin with the student name
from green to yellow. This meant that student did not get a sticker at the
end of the day although it seems petty to an adult that sticker meant the
world to child and the student’s behavior automatically improved. I had
to pray my mentor on this eye thought it was annotative way of teaching
the students good behavior through a reward system. The school
environment was very clean and well maintained. The bathrooms were
also spotless. The staff and students alike seem to really enjoy the school
and the environment around them. There is no better place to learn than
some where you are comfortable.
Part II: Reflection I believe that overall, this was a great experience. I
honestly could not have been happier with how well my observations of
Mr. amir classroom went. I would strongly recommend his to interested
student looking for somewhere to learn the ways of teaching. Not only He
was strong academically, but also you could tell He had an interest passion
for making sure each and every one of his students learned at least
something in class every day. Not only was He strong, but patient as well.
Having fifteen kids running around a room cannot be easy for anyone. Yet
He handled it with grace and poise. I picked up so many teaching methods
while observing Mr.
Zawar
Ali. I loved how He had little note
cards with each student’s name and would flip from card to card after
each question, giving every student a chance to participate and ensuring
participation. He also had a different student every morning to lead the
morning exercise. He later explained that this was to wake the students
up and get their blood going in participation f learning. I thought this was
a unique and cleaver way to keep the students active and ready for
enthusiasm to teach. I loved the environment of school. As I walked down,
whether coming or leaving, a number of staff always smiled or said good
morning, and meant it. The students had smiles on their faces and it was
clear that they coming to school every morning. The experience has truly
opened my eyes and made me realize that teaching really is what I would
like to do for the rest of my life. To see children, finally have something
click in their heads or smile, when you tell them they answered the
question correctly makes all the hard times worth it. Although I’m sure, it
will be a lot of work, I have no doubt in my mind that molding young minds
is the right path for me.
Abstract
The following report will examine all the elements of classroom that I will
observe in Mr. Zawar Ali Class. I will discuss the classroom environment,
the school, the student’s participation, and
the teacher’s overall effectiveness. I will then talk about how much the
experience had an impact on my aspiration to teach.
