Alpha Delta Nu - Nursing Honor Society


 
 Congratulations! This letter is to inform you that after initial review of your nursing admission
GPA you are meeting one of the eligibility requirements for invitation to apply for membership
into Alpha Delta Nu, the Nursing Honor Society for Associate Degree Nurses.  Below is some
information about the Nursing Honor Society.

 In the spring of 2012, the Organization for Associate Degree Nursing (OADN) approved the
formation of a national honor society for Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) programs.   The
objective of the OADN Alpha Delta Nu Nursing Honor Society is to recognize the academic
excellence of students in the study of Associate Degree Nursing, to encourage the pursuit of
advance degrees in the profession of nursing, as well as continuing education as a life-long
professional responsibility. In January of 2013, AACC was chartered as the Alpha Theta
Chapter. 
 
To be considered for full membership into Alpha Delta Nu – Alpha Theta Chapter:
 
·         Students must have attained a 3.0 nursing admission GPA
·         Students must have attained and maintain a 3.0 GPA in all nursing courses (Cannot
receive less than a B in any nursing course)
·         Students must have demonstrated conduct on campus, in the clinical areas, and the
community that reflects integrity and professionalism. 
 
Congratulations on your academic success thus far.  I hope that you take this opportunity to
become a member of Alpha Delta Nu, Alpha Theta Chapter.
