    ROTORCRAFT AFFECTED: Helicopters equipped with optional “AF-Compact” model


    Emergency Locator Transmitter (ELT) manufactured by Kannad (Orolia).

    BACKGROUND: Kannad (Orolia) has issued Service Bulletin S1840502-25-01, which


    affects Kannad P/N S1820512-01 Self-stripping Straps. In 2019, some straps were
    manufactured with 2.7 mm diameter buckles; the correct buckle is 4 mm diameter.
    Contact Orolia (www.orolia.com, or support@orolia.com) for Service Bulletin information.

    COMPLIANCE PROCEDURE:

    Open applicable access door and measure Kannad P/N S1820512‑01 Self-stripping
    Strap buckle per figure below. If buckle is 2.7 mm, refer to replacement procedure in
    Kannad Service Bulletin S1840502-25-01.
