  OPEN IN SPEECH
Good Morning Chair people, delegates of the house. My name is Ana and
along with Guillermo, we represent Argentina. We are here today, in
another United Nations conference, such as the one that created our
country.
We hope that the present delegations will engage only to fruitful debates,
in order to make this conference productive and relevant. Let´s all take
wise decisions after considering every resolution. Bear in mind that the
U.N. was created to make a vetter world and not to satisfy an individual
will.
In Argentina, 32% of the economically active population is in poverty,
while 6.3% are in poverty.
We´d like to share with you, our preocupation regarding poverty
resolution. We express the strongest commitment of the Argentine
government in the fight against hunger and poverty in the world. A
struggle that we conceive as part of a multilateral and systematic effort,
aimed at placing sustainable development at the center of the global
agenda.
We all have a wise purpose here!

  SOLUTION
Those who today are hungry and suffering poverty do not need more
diagnoses, demand action. Hunger does not recognize or respect borders,
religions or ethnicities. Differentiating between a hungry African, Asian
and Latin American is impossible. There is that satisfy their hunger
already, without delay.
The world has ample resources for it. We know that hunger and poverty
can not be met only through palliative measures, nor from efforts of
national scope alone.
My country is proposing a global partnership against hunger and
poverty, which will enable developing countries to produce substantive
improvements that will benefit all sectors of society.
When there is hunger there is no family, no school, no hospital. Only
when there is decent work are human and material development possible.
Under this world view, Argentina has proposed that in our country, the
slogan "Creating Jobs to Confront Poverty".
