    • Type : Slip ring AC motor.

    • Power : 6 MW

    • Voltage : 6.6 KV

    2. INSPECTION SUMMARY:

    After our inspection in Thursday 9/7/2020 in your site, we found signs of damage
    summarized by :

    1. Very low insulation between rotor winding & ground that the result found
    Zero and the minimum accepted limit to operate this rotor is up to 70
    M.ohm.

    2. Found hot spot and sparck effect (short) in contact point between slip-ring
    and rotor winding.

    3. Recommendation:

    - Shipping motor to our workshop.

    - Dismantling motor by remove rotor and slip-ring .

    - Take advanced tests and inspection visually for rotor winding then
    estimate scope of work.
